Hotel Guest Reviews of the Clayton Days Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

a good option to the higher priced best western
do not stay in room 105- if room 104 uses their water, the pipes make major thumping and clicking noises for a long time.

The price was fair and the rooms were clean. Staff was friendly as well.
Breakfast area was the lobby.

Overall I was pleased with our stay there. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was somewhat mediocre but good for the room price.

The breakfast was fantastic. I was glad that a laundry was available.

The hotel was very clean. The AC worked excellently. The deluxe breakfast was indeed 'deluxe'. We would definitely stay again.

Well-located for my trip; clean enough.
Morning disruptions, unfriendly front desk staff, rooms felt old- clean but musty.

I would likely not recommend this hotel. It wasn't awful, but it was not good. My room was actually clean (altho a previous guest's yogurt or pudding dessert top had fallen behind night stand sticky side up and was still there). My morning was interrupted 5 times between 8:30 & 9:15am - I finally just got up and checked out. The fire alarm went off 3 times, then a maid knocked on my door, I yelled out I was still there & then I looked around for a "do not disturb" sign to set out -- I did not find one. I thought/hoped I might not be bothered again, so I went back to bed. About 9:15 a maid OPENED THE DOOR to come in, and I told her I was there but could not find one of the 'do not disturb' signs to put on door - I said this from the bed, while she looked in, a little weird. She did put a sign on the door, but I went ahead and got up. Overall, I would recommend that people either find a place in Raton, NM or Dumas, TX rather than stay in Clayton, or at least at this hotel. Not awful, but not worth the stop. ...read more

The elevator works fast.
Pricy for the quality of the room and location.

Newish hotel in tiny Clayton, NM. Over priced for area and quality of hotel. Advertises "hot, fresh waffles" but the tiny dining area in the lobby consists of a waffle maker and a few plastic cups of waffle batter. I chose a bagel which was too hard and dry to eat.
