Comfort Inn Houma

Upon arrival, the night manager checked us in for our 2 night stay with ease, but when I asked her for a crib for our 2 year old, she did not know if there was a crib in the hotel. I don't remember her even checking; instead she suggested, 'just make a pallet and put him on the floor! I was a little offended, but asked for the linens to do that. As a late arrival, we slept until around 8:30 AM. That Saturday morning and planned to go get a breakfast away from the hotel because it did not serve a hot breakfast on weekends. We were shocked to hear housekeeping at our door at 9:30, wanting to clean the room. We said that we were not ready; expecting them to come back a little later. We left for the day and would not return to the hotel until after 1:00 AM. That evening since we were helping family with homecoming activities at a local school and their home. When we arrived back at the hotel around 1:00 AM, our room door was ajar - anyone could have come into our room, beds were still unmade, and all soiled towels, and full trash cans had not been touched. Explaining the situation at the front desk, the same manager said, just bring those towels down here, and I'll swap them for some clean ones. I was aghast! Being really tired, I went back up to the room, gathered the dirty towels up and went back down to the front desk with them. As I stood there, dumbfounded that I was being treated this way as a paying customer for these services, she finally looked up from the computer and ordered me to come around to the laundry so she could get my towels. I did tell her that we would not be staying at this hotel again, and she rudely said that she wasn't even on the clock. I am saddened to know that the other lady behind the counter must have been being trained by this lady. I know that Comfort Inn corporation would be appalled at a guest receiving such unprofessional treatment.

Very nice but hard to find.

I was very satisfied with every aspect of our stay at the Comfort Inn. The woman at the front desk was so very helpful and she had been working a double shift and I know she was very tired, yet she treated us like she had been there only a few minutes. Thanks.
