Couple
We asked for a non-smoking room. When entering room you could smell smoke and carpets were dirty. They changed us to another room which was better. Needs maintenance.

Clean, comfortable, staff was friendly, micro and fridge in room, restaurant and gas in parking lot, free breakfast -
I only had eggs and coffee, but was good.

Absolutely no response or care from hotel staff when notified of the bugs. "So" was the response, they come up through the duct work.

There are not many options for hotels in Port Hope. This often means that the hotel staff don't worry too much about service and cleanliness. That is not the case with the Comfort Inn in Port Hope. A good place to stay.

If looking for a bed and shower, this hotel can fit the bill. Hotel was full so no option to change rooms. Floors were wet from a steam cleaning and the room needed a spring cleaning (finger prints, hair on bathroom floor, shower curtain needed a wash, dust, etc.). Room smelled of bleach. The night we stayed, we shared the floor with a wedding party who kept visiting each others rooms and letting their door bang shut - very irritating. Hotel stuff did not resolve until 11 pm. ...

Family Traveling with Young Children
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, the room stunk of stale cigarettes, there were bugs in the beds, and the room temperature fluctuated too much for comfort.
