Hotel Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn River's Edge
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.October 15, 2012

When we got to the hotel, they said they could accommodate us only for one of the nights we paid for. They redirected us to another hotel in town. I would not recommend this hotel unless you call first to make sure they are not closed during the week. I have not yet heard of a hotel that closes Sunday through Thurs. We were not really told why.

Great location close to attractions we planned to visit. The hotel is being remodeled, but will be very nice when finished. I will definitely return.

This is not the first time we stayed at the River's Edge. We try to stay here every time we come back to visit family. It's small, but met our needs. They have an expanded continental breakfast daily and have laundry on site. After flying all night, we arrived early in the morning before normal check-in time. The staff knew we were tired and went out of their way to get a room ready for us within an hour. ...

The River's Edge Inn was hard to find at first, because it was under construction. The hotel staff was absent from the front desk, I had to ring bell several times before they came up when I was checking in.
TV remote wouldn't work when I called front desk to report she came by with a different re,remote that wasn't programmed. Then came back with instructions to fix then left quickly. Finally figured out on my own how to fix remote. Pool reminded me of a holding tank for penguins at the zoo. Very dark and smelled like mildew. Pool must of been over 90% chlorine. almost too much to bear. Room was very dirty. The shower looks like it was never cleaned from the last guest. "Continental" Breakfast. was the worst I have ever had. To some up the breakfast I can just say Stale. The hotel itself looks like it has been vacant for a few years and just reopened. So I will give them the benefit of a doubt. But I would
never try them again. for $140 I would expect much more. ...

This is a nice hotel, nothing major wrong with it. It's just missing the details that would make it great. Location on river is nice. Free breakfast is continental, which isn't made clear upfront. I was expecting eggs & bacon! I'll stay again, though.

The outside of the hotel is under construction. It looked really bad. The view of the river is ugly. The first room smelled like urine so we got another room. It was freezing in the new room. The room was out-dated and ugly. Still smelled funny. The carpet was dirty. The rest of the room wasn't much cleaner. I saw young men cleaning the rooms. I question their ability in cleaning the rooms properly. It looks like it was bought out by Comfort Inn and will be renovated in 2013. It truly needs it. I would not stay there again. ...
