Comfortable bed
The staff did not seem clean, and even for a smoking room it smelled so bad we had to sleep with the window open. There was only one ice machine, and having to keep the window open meant we got to listen to traffic from the interstate all night.
Not your typical Comfort Inn. Not the worst hotel we have stayed in but not par for this chain either

WAY understaffed!!
Friendly staff, very helpful but only one person staff in the entire hotel on a Friday in June! What a nightmare!! Long story in the short stay in Story City!!

Hot tub was broken, just like the last time we were there.
Interstate traveler-friendly, a clean, quiet motel in a small Iowa town.
