The price was reasonable.
There were stains on the bedspreads and there was not a lot of parking.

If you are OCD about cleanliness, then this is not a hotel for you. Yes for the most part the room was clean; however, the bedspreads were stained and there was silly string stuck to the wall in the room may kids and I stayed in.

That they had smoking rooms.
We got two key cards and only one worked. Got a replacement and it still didn't work. They said it had something to do with the door being charged or something like that. But the problem was the outside side door the key didn't work on that one either.

The reservations were at the Holiday Inn Express, not the Comfort Inn in Van Wert, OH. Due to a storm the day before, the town had no power and the hotel was unable to accommodate guests.

The shower. It was perfect!
It could have used a little more light and color.

It was an outstanding accommodation. It is sitting next door to a Holiday Inn that we haves normally used. We chose this place as it is pet friendly and somewhat less expensive. It did not disappoint. The hotel was clean, friendly, up to date, offered WiFi service, had an amazing shower, met all of our requests and had a nice bed with lots of pillows. The last time we stayed at Holiday Inn and asked for a bottle of water to take some medicine we were told that only Holiday Inn "members" were given water. Thanks but no thanks. ...read more

The location was convenient, rooms were clean and my children enjoyed the pool.
Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. Didn't realize they still had smoking rooms. Bathroom vent was very noisy when on.

Over all the hotel was comfortable and affordable. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
