Hotel Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn West Monroe
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 30, 2013

You have no choice in the type of room booked on line. So you have to endure whatever circumstances.

I had just stayed in the Comfort Inn in Pearl, MS which doesn't even compare to this one in West Monroe. My first room was EXTREMELY filthy. The A/C filter was so bad that it didn't take long for me to begin an allergy attack. The second room was cleaner, but did not have any towels (which was no big issue) I was able to get clean towels from the front desk clerk. I will drive a little further next time or spend more money to stay in a cleaner hotel. ...

it was very nice, location, internet, and clean sheets are what I look for. The bathroom was not what I was expecting. very small. Refridgerator was not working, it was just there. Loved the concept though.

Every single time we left the room we came back and had a key that didn't work. They told us not to put the key next to our wallets, cell phones, etc. So we kept it loose in the glove box. Still, it never worked. Trying to transport a sleeping 2 year old and having to go back down to the desk to get a new key was awful. Another night the smoke alarm went off at 1am and when I called to find out if everything was ok or if we needed to evacuate I was screamed at and hung up on by the front desk staff. Another night that the key didn't work, the employee rolled her eyes at me - God forbid you have to do your job. The daytime staff, especially housekeeping was very pleasant and took time to greet us and visit with us. I travel a lot and have never encountered a ruder group of people than the night staff at this hotel!! ...

Last year, was my first time visiting this hotel and I was really impressed with the service. This time... it lacked. However, it's really a nice little hotel for the price you pay.

The building and lobby area was attractive and clean. The staff greeted me with a smile and took care of the reservation quickly. Upon arrival at the room, it had been downsized. When the staff was notified of the change, they responded that all rooms similar to the one initially booked were sold leaving me with what they had left over. The reservation had been made well in advance of the stay, so I believe the hotel should have notified me of the change. The breakfast was lacking compared to other hotels similar to this hotel. Decision was made to eat breakfast elsewhere. It was a disappointing stay. ...
