Hotel could have had more information at the desk regarding local restaurants, current major attractions and activities happening in town. Hotel itself was modern and up-to-date.

Plenty of places to eat around the area, also a Publix on Ladys Island

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were excellent. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and informative on the area and locations of places to eat and shop. There was even a Marine who came and talked to the parents coming in for the Family Day and Graduation ceremony which was very helpful on what to expect when heading to the MCRD Parris Island. Hotel was about average for a 2.5-star. Staff was accommodating, hotel was convenient to highway and shopping, bed was comfortable, king room had a pullout sofa, microwave, and refrigerator, and breakfast was hot. Sheets and duvet cover appeared to have been changed, but no other cleaning was evident: gray bottom of bathtub, spit toothpaste on bathroom countertop, and footprints on bathroom floor. Also, some minor maintenance needed to be done to the room: leaking AC unit, loose shower rod, and missing grout between tiles on bathroom floor. The hotel is in a commercial location but is set back off the highway far enough that traffic was not an issue.

I had decent expectations for
XXX a night, but was disappointed. When we first got into the room, it seemed ok, but after a bit more time it sort of revealed itself. The hook on the back of the bathroom door fell off when I tried to hang an extremely light shirt on it, the housekeeping staff had apparently reused a conditioner as it was only 1/3 full. The ceiling above the bathtub had a terrible patch job where a vent fan had previously been and then covered up. It still had a hole and exposed tape. It had never even been sanded down. The shower curtain had mildew at the bottom and another vent had never been installed, so when I got out of the shower the room was filled with steam, so, because of having a teenage boy with us, I couldn't open the door. I had to stand there and sweat while I used the hairdryer to clear off the mirror. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. My husband and I both slept terribly and woke up with sore backs. The pool looked like it would hold about 5 people. On the plus side, the breakfast was pretty good. We changed hotels for our second night and for $15 more, the difference was unbelievable. The Holiday Inn and Suites put this hotel to shame. ...read more
