Great cottages. Location was a bit of a disappointment as it was not on the river or very close to town. The staff was great and the extra touches like s'mores at the campfire in the evening as well as the continental breakfast were great. Loved the bed!!!!

The hotel charges you up front (no security deposit). They have nightly smores sessions at the central firepit, DVDs to rent, and the friendliest staff ever. The guests are chatty and contribute to the overall welcoming experience. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful place, friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and
safe. A fabulous break from major hotel chains which seem impersonal and cold. An incredible value-a major hotel chain would charge $400 for this many amenities and the major hotel chain. It
would also charge you for parking and Internet.

The hotel staff was so welcoming from the start. The rooms/cottages are so spacious and have so many amenities. All you need to do is back a suitcase.

Family Traveling with Young Children
All and all, it was a pretty nice,family friendly place, my daughter loved the marshmallow roast at night and the people there were friendly, it was convenient to Armstrong woods and the ocean, 2 places I wanted to have my daughter enjoy. It was though,right on river road which was noisy with traffic which I was not so happy about. The worst thing I can say about it is, I brought to there attention the first morning that the heat did not work and that I would like someone to look at it, they assured me they would when the maintenance man came in, but that never happened. When I called it to there attention at check out and asked them to please consider that when they finalized my bill,they said they would speak with the owner and get back to me...Never heard from anyone again about it..I could have done without the heat,but I did have my 5yr old with me and for her,I thought it could have made it a little more comfortable in the morning. Other than that,it was a pretty decent place to stay. ...
