Hotel Guest Reviews of the Country Inn And Suites Orlando Universal
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 25, 2013

Overall, I had a very comfortable stay. I would stay again. I love the free breakfast. You cant beat that for the price of the stay.

xxx I paid per night. We thought the breakfast was better than expected after reading reviews. Keep in mind it's free.
It is very close to Islands of Adventure and Universal. The kids were watching the Hulk from the window of our room. Breakfast had frozen eggs that were yucky, Sausage pattys and french toast that was pretty good. A variety of muffins, bagels and toast, oatmeal, yogurt with fruit topping and oats, belgian waffles to make yoursely ( these took several minutes to cook and we opted not to wait. ) Also Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and 2 other cerials. There was some cut fruit, juice, milk, hot chocolate, coffee. Our group all found enough to start the day. ...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting Universal Studios Orlando for my birthday. On the positive side, the hotel was clean and offered a very good breakfast service in the mornings. The breakfast had options for hot and cold items and was offered for a nice amount of time each morning. The location of this hotel was both a positive and a negative I suppose. The hotel is located about 2 miles from Universal Studios. This is far enough outside of the Universal radius to keep costs down, but it is also a little bit too far to make it an easy walk. My wife and I were disappointed with the hotel's shuttle options to Universal Studios. The hotel offered one shuttle pickup in the morning (8:30am)and one pickup at Universal (6:30pm) in the evening. We did not use this shuttle because we wanted to go to the park later and also stay later each night. It isn't a very convenient shuttle schedule, and it would be much better if a shuttle was available every 2 hours or so to and from the park. I think this more than anything would make us think twice before staying here again. In the end, we ended up walking to and from the park each day. It is a 2 mile walk one way and takes about 25-30 mins to get to the bridge from the Universal parking lot and entering Universal's City Walk. Beware that it is about another 20 mins of walking to get from this point to far away attractions like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. My wife and I enjoy walking so we were ok with this, but be prepared to walk A LOT if you are going this route. All told, if you plan to walk it is an additional 4 miles (~1 hour) of walking on top of the walking around the park. The walk from the hotel to Universal is a straight shot down Universal Blvd., however you will have to switch sides of the street to always have a sidewalk. Obviously, the other option is to take a taxi which we were told runs ~$15 one way. I guess we were just being cheap and saving the $30/day. ...
