Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Harrisburg

I would recommend this hotel as it is adecent room and close to highway..staff was very friendly

I have stayed in many Country Inn & Suites and this was the first time I was disappointed. I'm not sure if our room placement was because we booked through Priceline and got a discount. (We booked months in advance so it wasn't as though the hotel didn't know we were coming.)

Arrival: Could not find a parking spot until someone else left. No one at front desk for literally 5 minutes. Breakfast: Not only was there nowhere near enough seating, but just physically moving in the breakfast room was a challenge. Had to eat in room. Most items out of stock at all times. That which we were able to scavenge was of mediocre quality. And I mean mediocre relative to typical hotel free breakfasts. Checkout: Despite using priceline, had a bill under my door for the room. The hotel is in very convenient location. We had a few take out from New China Restaurant in Union Square Plaza (less than 5 mins walking distance). The food had a great taste with very reasonable price.

The staff was excellent! However, the blond receptionist was somewhat rude. After we had unpacked our stuff and put things into the fridge we realized that there were 5-6 strands of black hair on the sheets and pillow case of one bed. We also found fresh clippings of hair in the bathroom. After cleaning it up I went up to the receptionist and said "We are not the complaining type and don't need to be changed rooms, but I just wanted to let you know about our room" and I told her what we had found. She looked at me and said "I doubt our cleaners would have left it that way, but I'm sorry if they did...I'll pass this on to the managers".
