Courtyard By Marriott Chicago Magnificent Mile

My aunt had identical room that was $50 cheaper as she reserved directly with hotel and I used Priceline and they would not do ant adjustments

There are stores and restaurants everywhere. The restaurant in this hotel is reasonable and kid friendly.

Hotel looked nice, however, it overbooked and did not have the room we reserved. As a show of good faith, we got put up in a Marriott Residence Inn about 10 blocks away free of charge other than a ridiculous $40 parking garage charge which I think is a scam! The room provided though was a suite and much better than we would have gotten at the original location. We had friends at the original hotel which made things a hassle from jump! Once we arrived at the Residence Inn and got checked in, we proceeded to go to the room assigned, put in the key card only to discover that the room was already occupied! YIKES!! People get killed over entering other peoples spaces. Gal at reservation desk barely apologized as she gave us another room. Great place to stay just off of the magnificent mile. Our view was beautiful of Lake Michigan. The staff was very friendly and helpful!! Great experience. We would stay there again in the future!!

The only con I would have would be that the hotel asks for a credit card for incidentals, and while this is standard, they actually put a $40/day charge on that card regardless. When I called, they said that it is applied to the card given as a standard procedure for incidentals, and that we left our room fine, so the charges would be removed within a few business days. So if you keep your credit line low on a card, be careful! (Especially with all the shopping you'll likely do on the Magnificent Mile anyways!) ...read more

The City Pass is worth every penny. Even if you don't visit all the attractions you get to go to the front of the lines saving precious time. This hotel is one block from the Grand Lux which is the best place for a nice meal that won't break you.

I've stayed at this hotel in the past and was happy that my priceline bid resulted in another stay. The location is perfect for enjoying down town. The staff's eagerness to respond to my requests was impressive and appreciated.
