Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard By Marriott Louisville Downtown
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.June 12, 2013

Other than the noise issues, the hotel is fine.

Stay if it is cheap, because you will not sleep well.

We were turned away at 11:30 Saturday night because they overbooked. How can that happen?? Long time customer. Couldn't believe it.

We were only in the hotel briefly but it was nice. Our room actually had a sofa bed, which would have been great if we'd had our kids. It had a tiny balcony from which you could see the river. I would stay there again, if the price was right.

We rode up in an elevator with vomit. There are not ice machines on each level. Two coke machines were not working. Front desk customer service was awful. A mini Starbucks was in the hotel, however they only made tall (smallest) size drinks and charged full price for them.

The place does have issues, despite some good staff. Here's what we found: 1) Unprepared in an emergency. My sister's room's fire alarm sounded at 7.10 am. She called the front desk, and they were clueless. She dressed, ran into the hall and found only her room alarm sounding and no one else moving much less evacuating. She does not smoke, nor did she smell smoke. The staff who responded were shocked to discover that she was not fibbing and that her alarm really was sounding, so what did they do? They yanked the alarm in her room out of the wall and told her it would be fixed later. 2) The high speed internet is a joke. We checked and found that we were getting about 500k download at best and at times under 50k. That's less than the old 56k dial-up modems! We talked to the front desk, they sent the folks to look at it, but as we explained the maintenance guy said that I think the person you need to talk to is working on some AC issues, you have totally lost me in what the matter even is! We were told that it was checked and would be better later. Sadly, it was not changed a bit meaning iPads and laptops were useless. 3) The garage here is scary and were I single I'd pass. It was often full to the 2nd or 3rd level and while $6 a day unlimited in and out is a great Downtown parking rate, after 8 pm. There was no one in the booth and once we had to walk down from 3rd floor as the elevator was not working. 4) The room was dim. Using energy saving lights is ok, but there have to be enough watts to see, especially in the bathroom and over the mirror. There were not. 5) Pool was unusably cold. Sad as we'd planned to swim both nights with family!
