Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard By Marriott Miami Downtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I was very impressed with the rooms and the cleanliness and the service. I loved everything about my stay at the courtyard and I would definitely stay there again!!!
I only wished I would've known that there was some issues with the pool area. I was looking forward to taking advantage of the rooftop pool and was disappointed to get there and it was closed.

This is definitely a great hotel. the pool area was closed but I'm sure a visit to the pool area when it is all done with maintenance would only enhance my stay a little more but otherwise I was very satisfied with the location and service that I received there. I'm already thinking of a good time to come back down to Miami and stay again!!!

The location of the hotel was great.
Did not like how the staff kept advertising a pool that was not on service, and we had to go swim at another hotel. Also, we was told we had to pay everytime we exit the garage, but found out a day later there was a flat rate per-night.

The hotel is on a great location. It's in walking distance to all the main attractions, and not to far from South Beach. The staff gave false advertisement in regards to there pool. They promoted a pool that was out of service.

This hotel has a wonderful staff. A real surprise was the bistro in the hotel. It has good meal choises at competitive prices. Again, wonderful staff.
The swimming pool is down for repair. This was disapointing but not a deal breaker.

Even tho the parking is not free, the convience of it makes it worth while. Free coffee in the morning or pay to get Starbucks.

Stayed here one night post cruise and it was ok. Room was clean and modern and the hotel staff were polite and pleasant. Short walking distance to the Metromover was convenient.
When we booked, we did the "bid your price" on Priceline, and we selected Downtown Miami. Was kinda disappointed that its not identified correctly. It was located in the business financial district. There was no restaurant on site, just a bistro.

see comments above.

The hotel exceeded my expectations for a 3.5 star hotel! I would definitely book here again! The staff was great, we really enjoyed our stay. We had a balcony in the room with an amazing view of the bay as well as downtown.
There was an orange stain in the bathtub and the balcony was not that clean. Overall, it was not that bad!

Our experience was great! You won't be disappointed!

Proximity to event I was attending.

Hskpg make sure you check under the beds for anything that got away from you undetected. Wiring in tamp between beds seemed like it may be loose and/or tighten push-button?. That's nit picky but you did ask.

The staff was very friendly and helpful to finding businesses and entertainment in the area.
For where the hotel is located, they should offer complimentary shuttle to local businesses. They also had some construction going on in the parking garage and not many parking spaces available when we first arrived.

There is so much to do and places to eat that's within walking distance. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel doesn't offer any shuttle services, although they should based on their location. Overall, we would stay again.

Definitely the staff! They were very helpful every time I needed something or had a question. They consistently went beyond expectation in being helpful.
If one wanders more than two blocks from the hotel in the wrong direction, you are suddenly in depressed downtown Miami with potential hazards. This is not the hotel's fault, simply a reality of its location. As to what the hotel does have control over,

The Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Miami (SW 2nd Ave.) is a strong 2.75-Star hotel convenient to downtown Miami, MetroMover services (1/2 block), and bus services (across the street and 1 block away, depending on need). Though it is rated a 3-Star hotel, I would describe it as a weak 3- or a strong 2 1/2-Star. The room showed it's age, though it was clean and comfortable. TVs have been updated to flat screens, the bed was very good as hotel beds go, and the extras were consistent with similar hotels. The restroom was lacking, however, in "sparkle appeal", by which I mean it was certainly clean, but the trim, tile grout, corners, caulk, etc., showed age and in want of repair, if not updating. The swimming pool was clean and alluring, as was the exercise room. The Bistro is adequate, but nothing to write home about. The main entry is around the corner from the street and a bit ambiguous in trying to find upon first approach. The lobby is somewhat small, especially at busy times of day (morning when many are leaving at once and mid-afternoon when several arrivals occur at once. What made the Courtyard an excellent value was the tremendous warm and extremely helpful staff, who consistently went out of their way to assist me and others as I was privy to witness. ...read more

Very helpful staff, it has wifi in every room and public areas, it provides printer which seems nice, since you have to print tickets, border card and other stuff.
Cons were the parking prices and breakfast. US$ 15/day is very expensive and breakfast does not exist.

If you want to see Heat's games, it is the best way. It is very near to AA arena. There are plenty of options to have lunch and it is also near to electronic avenue, if you are interested in buying electronics. Well, it is downtown, so it is also very appealing to business traveler.
