Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard By Marriott Newark Granville
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.Sort by: All Travelers | Business Traveler(8) | Solo Traveler(10) | Traveling as Couple(19) | Family with Young Children(6) | Family with Teens(11) | Senior Traveler(5)

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Redone lobby is very attractive.
Only negative is some rooms overlook the highway - can be loud with door open. but better than the other side - burger drive through there!
Convenient. Friendly staff. Comfortable, clean rooms.

Everything was what we expect from a Courtyard. It was clean, somewhat institutional atmosphere, just shy of lux.
Although this is typical of this kind of hotel, our view was of the highway and it was unpleasant to think of the exhaust fumes we were breathing.
The hotel was fine. Room keys need to be reprogrammed frequently. Regional food is heavy on macaroni and cheese, and other Big food. The Franklin Park Conservatory and the Columbus Museum of Art are worth a visit.

I've stayed in this hotel once before, and very pleased both times. McD's next-door as a nice steak house.
Cigarette smokers, such as myself, are required to stand in the cold and rain (ash trays and chairs @ edge of the portico @ the main entrance, and benches were wet). My room had a nice balcony which would have been nice to use, but smoking not permitted.

Room was clean, large, and spacious.
Only one mirror in the room in the bathroom area, would have been nice for one in the sleeping area. The bathroom STUNK of cigarette smoke. We called at 11pm for a 7:30 wake up call and the call never came. When reported the hotel staff only said "sorry".

Location was great for me visiting family nearby. The room was as expected, bed reasonably comfortable with lots of pillows. Hallways were well lit and shower had good water pressure. Room had working refrigerator and coffee maker.
Wish there were a free breakfast. I continue to be surprised that at a 2.5 star with almost identical rooms and amenities that you get fed, but not at 3 star.

Priceline failed to confirm the room. Hotel staff was informed that the credit was not authorized. They waited patiently (and me as well)on the phone on hold, over 15 minutes past when the recording said ~2 minutes wait. I appreciated the hotel staff.
Priceline failed. I was informed that this is a common occurence, that Priceline is notoriously problematic, adn the worst reservation service they have to deal with.

It was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. Bed was comfortable.
Very noisy. It was not road noise but sounds from inside the hotel. The heater was not working properly. They sent a repair man to the room promptly but he could not figure it out. We had to either roast or have no heat at all. It made a very loud noise.

The location and quality of the hotel.
The food in the Bistro is way to expensive.
This hotel is in a great location and has wonderful rooms. The only downside is the cost of the food in the hotel. Breakfast cost $27 for two people, which is probably why there was never more than 3 or 4 people eating in it.
