Location was central to businesses downtown. That's what I paid for in essence.
The showers were substandard in pressure and design. This hotel had the most minimum of shower and bathroom amenities. Also the towels were tiny and cheap for a downtown hotel.

I've been to Residence Inn, Holiday Inn Southside and Crown Royale South in Pittsburgh. I'd rank Courtyard last. I paid same price for Residence Inn and I was blown away by their facilities. This location is aptly described as minimal. The only thing going for it is the location. Staff at desk did not even know the number of a taxi company instead pointing me in direction of taxi stand down the street. The hotel design is very unique for this Courtyard.
Parking is horrible. Can only valet and that is $22/day!

Nice, clean hotel and rooms. Pretty cafe and terrace area.
Terrible sleeping experience. Thermostat was screwing, bed unfcomfortable (although that could be due to temperature fail).

When I stay for business, all I really care about is being able to sleep and then be back on the road. Unfortunately, the room temperature was super screwy - couldn't figure it out, was too hot then too cold - and thermostat was tricky old school style so I was entirely guessing. Ending up tossing and turning all night.
