Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard Charlotte University Research Park

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I have stayed twice at this hotel on different floors. The hallway noise can be heard very clearly into the room, especially at night. This isn't fun when you are right by the elevator. Also, the rooms looked a little worn out.

It was new, clean and modern. And the bed was extremely comfortable.
Complimentary breakfast would have been nice.

This was a very nice hotel and the location in relation to Charlotte Motor Speedway was great. We would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and sweetly answered all questions.
Loud patrons in the hallway at 1:00 a.m. that didn't care about the rest of us trying to sleep.

Good location. Great staff. Clean room. The mattress did not do well for me though.

Very nice lobby and cafe area, although the hours for the cafe were somewhat limited. Rooms were nice enough. I especially liked having a balcony.
The pillows are terrible! No mini-fridge even though there is a space for one. And the cafe had limited hours and I couldn't find anyone working there when I wanted to buy something.

The location is good if you're going to Ikea, otherwise it's quite a bit out of the way. The lobby area was recently updated, with really nice lounge areas that I did not utilize. The rooms were of good quality and plenty of space, though the updates were less recent. Elevators are somewhat limited, which was annoying. Room a balcony, which was a pleasant change. My biggest complaint was the absolutely terrible, flimsy, worthless pillows. Bring your own. ...read more

The hotel was a lot nicer than I expected. The decor was updated, modern and fun. The staff was very helpful with directions, bus info and navigating traffic.

The hotel was a lot nicer than I expected. The decor was updated, modern and fun. The staff was very helpful with directions, bus info and navigating traffic. It is less than 2 miles from Trader Joes, Ikea, jack in the box and a bus stop that runs directly to downtown.

Friendly staff. Clean hotel/rooms. Nice part of town. Close to many (mostly chain) restaurants & shopping. Very close to UNC-Charlotte and Verizon amphitheater. Easily access from I-85. 15 minutes from "everywhere" (almost).
I didn't use any amenities (WiFi, pool, gym, etc.), so I cannot verify if these were up to par. Otherwise, I can't really remember anything I didn't like about the hotel

The staff (especially Robbie @ check-in desk) was very helpful. The hotel is located conveniently off of the interstate. I felt safe, and the room was very clean. Location is in a good part of town. It's just a stones throw from the university, and it's just a 15 minute drive to downtown, where all kinds of sports and arts-related happenings are going on. If you need a good place to lay your head for a couple of nights, you could do a LOT worse. I paid approx. $75 ($55 + tax) for one night's stay, and I feel I got a fairly good deal. ...read more
