Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard New Haven At Yale

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Check in fast, Great lobby, knowledgable and friendly staff. Good location if involved with something going on a Yale University or down town New Haven
Unaware and surprised when the hotel charged me $18 for overnight parking. They stated it was less than the rates in off-site parking which was in the $20 range.

Did not make the trip because our Son's baseball team didn't make it to the finals in the tournament his college team was in so we unfortunately took the loss on the hotel room.

Great lobby and friendly staff
Shouldn't have to pay for parking

Parking is $18 a day...pretty steep for the area. Room average. Staff and lobby area above average. Great location in relation to Yale.

The location of the hotel is perfect. There are so many shops and restaurants around. Some not even a block away. The lobby had a nice lounge set up where you could hang out and watch tv, have drinks, or eat some take out. A very comfortable atmosphere.
I'm not a fan of paying for parking once I've already paid for a night's stay but considering the location and that there is NO free parking around anywhere, I can let that slide. Free bottle or two of water in the room would have been nice also.

Overall this is a great hotel. Fairly spacious rooms, a Starbucks in the lobby that doesn't double the cost of its drinks, and just an overall comfortable atmosphere. They had a nice little mini-fridge in the room which is very nice as I am surprised at how many hotels do not have any way of keeping your food or drinks cold (a bucket of ice doesn't count). The location is perfect to be able to take a walk around downtown New Haven and check out the shops and restaurants and there are some INCREDIBLE ones that are just a block away *cough* Box 63 *cough*. We got a phenomenal deal on this room and got a great taste of what the area has to offer all thanks to Priceline! ...read more

Clean, attractive, stylish room. Very comfortable bed. Generally helpful staff.
1) Most rooms are designed so the TV cannot be seen from the bed without hurting your neck. Could be easily rectified. Some rooms have the TV in a better spot but front desk staff have no clue about this. 2) Surrounding area unsafe on foot after dark.

They will gouge you with the parking fee even though it's not a guarded lot.

Yes.. TERRIBLE noise from traffic and sirens. Non functional and noisy old wall window HVAC unit. Broken down bed. Would NEVER stay there again unless confirmed better room location and condition.
