Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard Oakland Downtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Clean, comfortable bed, quiet room. Right on the edge of Oakland's Chinatown.

1 1/2 blks to BART station, then 10 min straight to the Oakland Coliseum/Oracle Arena for the Rolling Stones concert - talk about a great location for us!

Very close to BART, close to lots of shopping & Chinatown restaurants. Great bath amenities (Paul Mitchell), and surprisingly chic decor/bedding. Nice firm mattress.
Parking fee of $20 for valet only was pricey.

Quick ride on BART to San Francisco, pleasant staff and comfortable bed. Good bathrom & amenities. Parking is valet only & priced a bit high.

The hotel was well kept. Since it was downtown the location was good and it was safe. I would stay there again. It was very quiet.
The only two concerns we had, not aware that the hotel charged the guest $20.00 to valet park. Would've like to now before arrival. The vists gentleman who acted as Valet/bell person (1) Was not very friendly (2) Left luggage on carrier in the hall.

The hotel was wonderful but no Resturant. It would have been nice to have room service. I would recommend it to my friends and be sure to let them know about the parking situation.

Large room. Liked the location. Enjoyed the Friday open air market with all the fresh produce on the street outside.
The carpeting in the elevators were stained and dirty. Otherwise everything was spotless.

Great location for us since our daughter lived down by the lake. Enjoyed the light breakfast choices and coffee bar on the main floor. It would have been convenient if the hotel had a scale to weigh our luggage since we were flying and had a weight limit on luggage.

The room was very nice.
The toilet was not clean. Valet is too expensive for this location.

Very good deal for Priceline. Room was very nice but toilet was not as clean as it should have been. Valet is too expensive for this location.

The staff were great and the room was clean/nicely decorated.
The nearby club was loud, as well as people yelling in the street.

Overall, it was a nice hotel. The room was small and I would have preferred the bathroom sink to be in the bathroom instead of just outside of it. But, the room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfy! The only problem with the location is that it seemed to be right next to a loud club with people yelling in the street. This woke us up a couple times in the night. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. ...read more

Hotel room was smaller than expected had a hard time finding a place for my luggage and a place to set up my computer. There was only one attendant at the hotel and she was quite busy and not able to help us for at least 15 minutes.
The parking was non-existent. I waited at the valet for 5 minutes then decided to go look for alternative parking. I found a public parking area around the corner. They charged $10 for overnight parking.

This hotel is in downtown Oakland. Parking is sparse and expensive. The hotel appeared to have its own parking but there were no attendants available when we were checking in around 9:30pm. The lobby was small and really did not find any additional common areas.

Cleanliness and location, had the best shower experience I've had in years in CA, plenty of water pressure and hot water.
There was no food/snacks/mini bar or closet for coats.

Valet parking only - 20 dollars a night. AWFUL breakfast that doesn't open til 7:30. Lots of renovation, lack of amenities.

I'd suggest finding somewhere else if you have options.
