Low cost, convenient location.
No trash can in the room; we ended up using the ice bucket. There were an inordinate number of flies in the room.

Location. We were visiting the Salton Sea and it was the closest and a good price.

I wondered about the star level. But Trip Advisor reviews were good. And tt was fine. I talked to the owner the second morning as I was eating the continental breakfast (standard) and they had purchased the motel the yr before and were in the process of renovating. New beds and furniture. Bathroom was uptodate. Room was quiet, dark, clean and wifi worked well. The staff person who checked us in was efficient and gave us a recommendation for a very good restaurant across the street and we went there for both dinners. No hesitation about returning.It is not fancy but the value was good and I believe the owners will continue to work on it. ...read more

The hotel had helpful staff & provided a free continental breakfast. The room was clean & spacious, had mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cable tv, blow dryer, a/c-heater. The hotel had a pool, laundry room & ice maker. The hotel was very quiet.
I wish the Crown Hotel had an aaa or aarp discount.

My husband and I moved my moms stuff from Arizona to her new El Centro home and we looked for a place to stay for the weekend. I looked at all the ratings & reviews of the hotels in El Centro. I was impressed with the high ratings & reviews of the Crown Hotel. I also gave the Crown Hotel a very high rating. We are planning to visit my mom & grandma monthly, we will definately be staying at the Crown Hotel. ...read more

Nothing. I arrived late night, and there was no staff on-duty in the motel office. I was unable to check-in and had to stay at another motel in town. I essentially paid twice for a one night stay in El Centro, CA.
I have no positive comments.

If you plan to arrive late night don't book this motel.

Large room for the price.
No coffee; previous occupant pizza left in fridge, which means maid service doesn't do a detailed job of cleaning up.

It was convenient and cheap. My expectations were based on that, and the hotel met those expectations.
