Hotel Guest Reviews of the Crowne Plaza Boston-Newton

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

it was only $9 to park in lot rather than the scary $28 that is posted when you drive in
it is a bit offputting to look out your window and see cars and trucks driving on the turnpike below you

Big room
Very loud due to the mass pike. We also had to pay for parking which is not normal in this area.

You can hear the pike in every room. There is a pool but it is underwelming. You cannot swim alone, so it is only good if you are traveling with others.

The staff was extremely helpful. Actually, I thought they were one of the best teams I have spent time with at any hotel.
My only challenge was the roundabout to get off of the highway and into the hotel the first time. After that, I was fine.

The Hotel was very nice, but the staff was exceptional. The room was nice and well maintained, and the services were outstanding. There was also a bus stop across the street where you could pick up an express bus to downtown boston. Taking the bus was much easier than driving, but the hotel was perfectly located so you could get to anywhere in the area easily. I would stay there again. ...read more

The room was very clean & room service was prompt. The restaurant " Martha's" was very accommodating.
Parking fee of $9.oo & the digital cable was fading in and out.

Excellent priceline price. Good hotel!!

Good location
The noice generated by the close by Mass Pike and Rail Road.

Easy on and off to the Mass Pike. Restaurants near by.

Convenient close to Mass Pike. Slightly cheaper than the Marriott nearby.
Wi-Fi kept disconnecting. This is a real problem for business trips. Heat/AC is a bit noisy.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was lovely.
I didn't care for the decor, but I was not paying for decor.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza when my son had surgery at the Newton Wellsley Hospital. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with no stale air conditioning smell. Hotel staff were pleasant and most accomodating. This is exactly what I expect from a three star hotel. I did not have the opportunity to utilize either the restaurant or fitness center. For the price I paid, this hotel was a great fit for this trip. ...read more

The room was very nice. The pool was adequate, and the service was great. The location was disapponting. I searched for a hotel in the Waltham area, and this location was too far away. It was way too loud, as it sits over the turnpike. We couldn't sleep.
See above.

The hotel is lovely, but the location is lacking. They should throw in the parking fee to make it a little more easy.

Overall this is a good place to stay. There is a bit of road noise since the rooms are right above the interstate 90, but not a big issue.
