Crowne Plaza Beijing Wangfujing

There was absolutely no air conditioning during our stay. Our room was unbearably hot and we sweat througout the night. we told asked them several times to have an engineer come look at the air-conditioning and after the third call to the front desk they finally came and simply said I'm sorry there's just no air-conditioning. So we askd to be moved to another room and they never responded. Perhaps because it was around 11:00 a night when we asked. So we just fell asleep, very hot. We also got massages at the spa and it was the most unprofessional experience at a spa EVER and the worst massage i have ever had. It was like she did not care at all while she was massaing me and you could tell she had little experince or was not trained very well. The therapist talked to her coworker the whole time, left the room several times and at one point started to talk on her cell phone while she was massaging me!! All i heard was her yapping loud voice hammering my hear the whole massage.Then when I went to pay, I did not have enough cash so I asked her if I can put it on my credit card or charge it to my room, and she proceeds to tell me cash is better and that I needed to go the ATM around the corner from the hotel. She just wanted cash and did not care what I had to go through as long as she got it. This is a personal opinion, but she wore very high heels and as a massage therapist that is highly unprofessional unless you want to attract the wrong type of clientele. the heels made the loudest noise every time she went to leave the room during the massage. Like above, I really appreciated the breakfasts, the attentive staff, and the internet connection was very convenient. Also, of course the location is terrific, very handy for everything.

Highly recommend Crowne Plaza - very helpful staff, nice amenities, and fantastic location. Lovely international breakfast buffet in their gorgeous restaurant. Easy-to-arrange tours of Beijing and the Great Wall available.
