Hotel Guest Reviews of the Crowne Plaza Hotel New Orleans-Airport
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 15, 2013

1. side entrance is probably easier to use to get in and out of hotel. 2. no sidewalks and so not easy to walk anywhere away from hotel 3. Long walk to get to the room from reception 4. Motif and design of entrance and rooms is "loud", not pleasant - 5. room is very spacious and clean. staff were ok.

Location right off the interstate

We only chose to stay at the hotel because everything else in New Orleans was booked. For the price, the accommodations were reasonable, but the location makes driving anywhere other than the airport a little challenging. (You basically have to make a U turn which may be difficult in heavy traffic.) Day staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful, night staff lacks in customer service. I would stay there again if I needed a place close to the airport, but I'm not sure I would stay there again if I just needed a place to stay around New Orleans. ...

We were at an event that was held at the Ponchartrain Convention Center, this hotel was about 2.2 miles from there, but the location was very convenient still. It was just off the interstate, so easy on and off convenience, to head to downtown New Orleans, French Quarter...It was super close to the airport , as well, did not notice any noise at night from the planes, but when we woke around 8am, the room was very quiet, but as were were getting ready for the day, we did notice as the planes were flying over. There is a restaurant that appears nice from the lobby, but we did not hae a chance to try it out, it was nice knowing there was one on-site had we had the opportunity to eat there! All in all, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay there again! ...

Average hotel, does not seem to be Crown Plaza standards, but not a bad hotel. Rooms were better when behind closed doors, hallways dated and worn. Public areas just ok, not wowed, but ok for one night, no real complaints.

The room was freezing and we could not change the settings. We finally had to move a chair, position pillows and towels to prevent the rush of cold air. Also, the confirmation said our room would be ready at 3:00. At 4:00, it was still not ready. On the plus side, we were able to store our bags until our room was ready. The shuttle driver was excellent.

Don't stay here. Old, overpriced, and not in a great area.
