Hotel Guest Reviews of the Crowne Plaza Hotel New Orleans-Airport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

clean and spacious
1. The design and motif is awful. Loud unpleasant colors. 2. Traffic scheme makes it hard to get in an out of 3. coffeepot in lower cabinet. You have to get on your knees to handle. Also cabinet door blocks half the room when in use.

1. side entrance is probably easier to use to get in and out of hotel. 2. no sidewalks and so not easy to walk anywhere away from hotel 3. Long walk to get to the room from reception 4. Motif and design of entrance and rooms is "loud", not pleasant - 5. room is very spacious and clean. staff were ok.

Locating the room was confusing at first

Location right off the interstate

The hotel convenient to the airport and offers a very fast and reliable complimentary shuttle service. The room was fairly large, and the hotel itself was clean and within walking distance of a great bar/restaurant. Staff when we checked in was nice.
The tub in our bathroom drained slowly and when we reached the front desk night shift, an apparent language barrier prevented comprehension of the problem on the worker's part. Skip the hotel breakfast, you'll be disappointed at the quality for the price.

We only chose to stay at the hotel because everything else in New Orleans was booked. For the price, the accommodations were reasonable, but the location makes driving anywhere other than the airport a little challenging. (You basically have to make a U turn which may be difficult in heavy traffic.) Day staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful, night staff lacks in customer service. I would stay there again if I needed a place close to the airport, but I'm not sure I would stay there again if I just needed a place to stay around New Orleans. ...read more

The room was very nice and super clean... (clean freak, here!)We visited for two nights, after the first night, housekeeping came, and once again, the room and bathroom were cleaned to perfection, &I had three daughters with me who can make a mess quickly!
Definitely join the rewards program, and mention that you joined at check in to receive the complimentary wi-fi code. (They gave it to us, but we actually never had time to use, so I can't speak to the quality of the wi-fi itself!)

We were at an event that was held at the Ponchartrain Convention Center, this hotel was about 2.2 miles from there, but the location was very convenient still. It was just off the interstate, so easy on and off convenience, to head to downtown New Orleans, French Quarter...It was super close to the airport , as well, did not notice any noise at night from the planes, but when we woke around 8am, the room was very quiet, but as were were getting ready for the day, we did notice as the planes were flying over. There is a restaurant that appears nice from the lobby, but we did not hae a chance to try it out, it was nice knowing there was one on-site had we had the opportunity to eat there! All in all, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay there again! ...read more

Close to airport
They put me on 1st floor.

Average hotel, does not seem to be Crown Plaza standards, but not a bad hotel. Rooms were better when behind closed doors, hallways dated and worn. Public areas just ok, not wowed, but ok for one night, no real complaints.

Convenient to airport, free shuttle

The room was freezing and we could not change the settings. We finally had to move a chair, position pillows and towels to prevent the rush of cold air. Also, the confirmation said our room would be ready at 3:00. At 4:00, it was still not ready. On the plus side, we were able to store our bags until our room was ready. The shuttle driver was excellent.

Nothing
Hotel is old, and "tired". Overpaid.

Don't stay here. Old, overpriced, and not in a great area.

The mattress was very comfortable, second only to the Sleep Number beds at Doubletree. Room was very nice for the Priceline rate, easy access to the airport, quiet enough even with the busy location.
$10 for internet access. Puh-leeze! Burger King has free WiFi people. No refrigerator. I had to throw out my huge muffalatta that I wanted to take home with me.

Great Location!
Older hotel so you have to live with it not being new. I would not recommend anything on the 4th floor. The beds I saw were not good for sleeping.

Enjoy.
