Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Asheville West

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Front desk folks were very nice.
Not as clean as I would have liked. First non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. But another room was assigned and although not as 'updated' it smelled fine.

The address is Candler but the hotel is about ten miles further west of Asheville than we expected.

Good location
The room stinked of alcohol and cigarettes. Very dirty corridors and a creeky building where you could hear people walking on the next floor.

This hotel is in a good location but on the cleanliness and hygiene they need to improve a lot. The rooms stink and the corridors are highly unkept.

Only there one night.
Was not a $xx property. Located 15 miles from Asheville, the heat did not work upon arrival, no top sheet on bed, coffee maker had leftover grounds from prior occupant and the room was located in the middle of the seldom used third floor and musty.

Stay in better property and location for same rate.

The hotel is average in almost every respect. However, Elizabeth, who was at the front desk, was a gem. I had just endured a 12 hour car ride with the stomach flu. Elizabeth went out of her way to see if she could make my stay more comfortable.
The hotel is not quite as nice as the picture online, and the upholstered chairs are dirty.

Again, it is a very average hotel. It was Elizabeth who made the trip memorable. There is a lot to do in the area, and Elizabeth gave us insights into the many attractions. When she discovered that my husband and I were on a trip to buy property, she took the time to give us a real insiders view of the towns we were looking in.

The staff were friendly.
Clean room. It smelled musty. Especially the beds.

The place is close to the highway. The staff is friendly. Don't expect to much from the room and you'll be happy. The breakfast was fresh and more than expected.

Rooms were very nice, bed slept great. Very Clean hotel room! We left our key cards to the room at our friends cabin and they were very accommodating with getting us another key card to our room.
They informed us when we checked in that there was a sewage problem. The smell was over powering when outside of the hotel room! Thank goodness it did not seep into the room.

Hotel was very clean. Did not eat breakfast there so cannot comment on that. Pros: Very Clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom neat and clean. Good price. Staff very friendly and courteous. Cons: Smell of sewage outside of the hotel, I don't know if it was the hotels issue or somewhere surrounding.

Front desk clerk was nice. Got a courtesy call after checking in to see if room was satisfactory.
Beds were too soft, uncomfortable.
