Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Freehold
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 23, 2013

In general the Days Inn in Freehold, was clean, the maid service was good and the location was good for my needs. However, when a power outage effected the hotel, we were told that if we stayed, we would get 40% off for that night and when I went to get reembursement, I was told that that was not going to be honored (even though we had no electricity or water. They offered reembursement if we were to leave, but it would have been difficult to leave when there are no lights to be able to pack up your belongings. ...

I did not know this hotel was more like a motel. The curtains in the room are terrible. They do not cover the windows. Also, the windows are practically floor level so anyone can look in. Since it is more of a motel style hotel anyone can look into your window, even if you're not on ground floor. I had to tape the sides of the curtains to the wall just to have privacy. With that said, I couldn't even open the windows to enjoy daylight in fear of someone looking in my room as they walked by, (not to mention I am a woman traveling alone). So that was extremely frustrating. This hotel is also on a main strip so it was very noisy - you hear all of the traffic throughout the night. I had to keep the TV on while I slept to drown out the noise. However, a few perks are the room including the bathroom are very clean. I met the new hotel manager and his wife who are extremely nice and very motivated to turning the hotel around. They informed me that new curtains have already been ordered (ones that allow you to have some sunlight come in too). Also, the hotel rooms have been revamped with new mattresses - also another plus. The managers wanted to hear my thoughts, good and bad, and made what initially was a terrible experience much better for me.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay then this is the one. I had stayed here once before and was told that it had been remodeled. Sorry to say, but it is the same as last time. Our room had bugs, on one day during our stay I was told by the front desk that 2 maids were sick so they were to change my towels only. Continental breakfast. You'll do better buying something at 7-11. I asked for a receipt upon checking out and was told to print it from my email. Never again. When visiting this area I will avoid this place.
