Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Martinsburg

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great location for my visit. The staff was friendly.
The rooms were poorly insulated. One could hear every conversation and movement next door.

Friendly, helpful staff; extremely clean; fresh breakfast buffet and
very pleasurable stay! Best Days Inn we've stayed at. Highly recommend the Martinsburg location!

Price was good, and although it was older everything was clean and comfortable.
Older Decor.

Although this hotel was older, everything was clean and comfortable.

The staff was nice. That's it.
We reserved 2 rooms and the hotel only had one room booked and we had to fight to get them to honor our reservation.

We travel to Martinsburg several times a year on business. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn, but it was booked. The Days Inn was next door and was presented on line by the photos and info posted as clean and renovated. This was NOT the case. We reserved 2 rooms, the hotel only had one booked, and would only offer us a smoking room, which was unacceptable. After much frustration, they finally got us another room. Both rooms and bathrooms were nothing like they looked on line. Most of the nearby hotels were booked due to seminars or conventions, so we were stuck. We should be refunded the night's stay due to the reservation not being correct when we arrived and the misrepresentation of the accommodations. This experience has lead us to believe that Priceline is not a trusty worthy source that we would use for future travel, regardless of the value or discount. ...read more

Good access to highway and restaurants.
Extremely poor sound isolation. Felt like we were in the middle of a shouting match.

We have stayed at this hotel before, and were satisfied with the accommodations. This time we were next to an elderly couple on one side & small children on the other who were obviously together. The old couple shouted at each other & the kids fought, whined & cried all night & we heard every word. Have seldom been in a hotel where sound carried so well. My next trip we will take a step up in accommodations. ...read more

This hotel was clean and affordable and in s great location off I-85. It was close to gas stations, stores, restaurants and Quik-E marts.
The morning desk clerk was clueless.

The hotel was very nice and clean, however, its lower price range did attract low class people who shouted and yelled in their rooms after midnight and who smoked and yelled and laughed outside the main entrance at 6:00 am. I had to phone the main desk and ask the clueless desk clerk to please go outside and break up the gang of rednecks who were smoking and shouting and laughing at 6:00 am. A competent desk clerk would have taken the inititative and calmed the roudy crowd without my having to call the front desk. ...read more

The hotel was in a good location
The room was dirty and smelled terrible

The location of the hotel is the only thing this hotel has going for it! The room was filthy, and not just the kind of dirt that could be cleaned by a maid. There were stains on the walls, black mildew and mold in the bathroom, and it smelled aweful! The public areas of the hotel are no better! We visit the area to see family who live in Martinsburg and I will gladly spend the $20 more to stay in a different hotel. One of the worst I have ever stayed at! ...read more

The staff was very helpful because when I arrived there was no information about reservation from price line so there were rooms available.
