Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Nisswa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location
The pool area had MAJOR BLACK MOLD in the corner (about 8x12 area), When we arrived the attendant was trying to charge me extra for my kids even though I told him we booked it through Priceline and had down 4 occupants. Only after I started to bring up

Convenient to highway. Check-in staff was friendly and efficient. The bed was comfortable.
The room was cold when I arrived as the heat was turned off. I had made reservations many hours in advance. The water was only slightly warm when I checked in and again in the morning. There were only two cars in the parking lot so it was not a case of ex

Good location because it was close to the lodge nearby where the wedding we were attending was located.
The beds were really uncomfortable and the curtains did not block out the sunlight. Also we had a handicap room and we are not handicapped, which is fine, but the shower had no way of keeping water out of the rest of the bathroom.

Overall, I would much rather have paid more money and stayed somewhere just a little bit nicer in Baxter instead and had to drive a little bit to get to the wedding at the nearby resort (which only had 8 person town homes available, which is why we did not stay there). This hotel was a little bit poor.

Friendly staff, good location, good value.
Not much I didn't like.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall appearance was neat and presentable. The bed was comfortable.

Close to family reuinion location.
Everything - it is a dump. Hasn't been updated since the 50's. Management slovenly.

Poor - stay only if you have no where else to stay the night!

the location worked for my purpose
kids running in the halls above me

It's not fancy but it served its purpose. The room could use updating, was looking a little worn.

pool and hot tub
towels were paper thin and the size of hand towels. no conditioner. beds hard and uncomfortable.

There are better choices in the area for less. Towels were paper thin and the size of hand towels. Beds are hard. No conditioner. Motel 8 was cheaper and much more comfortable in Brainard and had a much better breakfast.
