Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Quincy

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The price and availability.

I read the reviews beforehand and agreed with them all, except one. I did not find it moldy as one person indicated. Coffee and breakfasts were good. Hard to close door to room and heater was noisy, but everything worked. Got what I paid for.

The staff at this Days Inn consistently goes above & beyond to provide exceptional service, including free fax service, outstanding hot continental breakfasts, free room upgrades from "queen" to "king" and various general courtesies & helpful suggestions.
This is an older property and, while the bed linens were new and fresh, carpets are worn and frayed in places and the furniture is older and less contemporary.

This hotel is the very first one you come to upon crossing the bridge from Missouri on Highway 24 East. Just turn right at the Days Inn sign into the parking lot as you are going up the hill after getting off the bridge. This was once a major convention center but times have changed. There are newer, more expensive properties just up the street. But for a fair price, you can find friendly, efficient staff willing to meet every need they can. The very nice continental breakfast is scrambled eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy and pancakes every day, plus fresh fruit, muffins and toast, as well as fresh coffee, hot tea, juice and milk. Old warehouses block much of the view, but you are able to get glimpses of the Mississippi River from the parking lot. The large outdoor pool would probably be inviting in season. The present general manager, Sheela, is very competent and keeps abreast of all areas of the hotel services from Internet access to maintenance to customer relations. ...read more

As a female traveling alone I liked that the front desk called an hour after I checked in to make sure I was satisfied.
Noisy, lots of street traffic sounds. I could also hear people through the walls of the building.

It was an older building, but kept up pretty well. I liked the breakfast that came with the room. Not many places offer scrambled eggs.

Closeness to hospital.
Mold in coffee pot & tub mat, stains in carpet, tub greasy/slimy.

Staff was great, rooms was
nasty! We
would not use the shower or coffee pot. Pool was not filled completely.

The hostess was very nice.
Would like an electrical outlet outside to charge a boat battery.

Decent hotel for the money.

Good location, easy access to downtown and convention center.
Bed had a cheap mattress.

The hotel is your typical budget hotel. Very simple room, lower quality bed, but was clean and in a good location. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It is just a block from downtown, the convention center, and the riverfront.

They moved us when there was an issue, no problems with that.
