Days Inn Shawnee

The Days Inn Shawnee was a great hotel for the price. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, nice selection. Clean rooms, clean beds, good selection of TV channels. Pretty much what I'd expect form a 2-3 star hotel. Convenient to shopping and I40. I'd stay there again.

Our room was on the second floor, however, there are no elevators and I was with my elderly mother who has difficulties climbing stairs. After an extended wait to be assisted in my check in, we were finally put on the first floor.

My experience at this hotel is dominated by the negative experience with their refusal to accommodate a request for a second bed in the room on a reservation rate.

The instant I walked into the hotel, I was met with a horrible mold and cigarette smell. I felt immediately uncomfortable and was not soothed when I found someone else's trash in the room, and hair in the bathroom. I would not recommend the Days Inn to any traveler after this experience.

This is a comfortable hotel with a great staff. The room was quiet and comfortable. The smell of the food was great too. We were just too tried to eat so we slept very well and enjoyed the small but nice breakfast.

Would recommend this motel for the price, the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly.

There was hair on the towel. They don't allow pets and we had a dog. I told her I would leave the dog in the car for the night, she repeated that I better not bring in the dog. I told her I wouldn't, she then came outside and watched us empty the car, I felt like she didn't trust me. She seemed angry. There were even hand written signs in the halls about not having pets. Very nice travelers stop type of hotel. Not many frills but met my expectations. I was there for 2 nights and had no real issues. Staff was friendly and the place was quiet. Close enough to everything yet felt secluded. Nice!
