Hotel Guest Reviews of the De La Ville Intercontinental Roma

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

very small but well located
the rooms are VERY small

This is more like a one of a kind hotel than an Intercontinental. It is small and charming but very busy. Lots of stairs. Food is extremely expensive but very good. Staff was professional. We made a collect call to AMX and the charges were over 120.00 euros ot 150.00 us dollars for the connection so do not use the phone.

Although I specifically picked this hotel as it was mentioned that I would have free WiFi, they still wanted to charge me ($30) for 24hrs. It was a major scene to get them to accept that I was entitled to free WiFi.

Staff. Especially manager. Awesome service. Excellent location. Loved it!
Room on first floor was very small. Nicely appointed, just small.

Staff. Especially manager. Awesome service. Excellent location. Loved it! No hesitation to recommend. And the roof top bar/restaurant, best view in the city. Bar none. Try it at night. Most breathtaking spot. My room was small but I will absolutely be back here again. No question. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

Clean rooms and great location.
Too expensive for Wi-Fi, breakfast, and any extras.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff and helpful concierges. The location is perfect as the hotel sits atop the Spanish Steps. Big drawbacks are that for the price of the room they should give you free WiFi and breakfast. you are already paying a lot, they shouldn't charge $23.00 euros for 24 hrs of Wi Fi.

This hotel had a lovely room, comfortable bed and
great shower!
We wish we had booked a room with the breakfast. We were not able to upgrade.

The location was great! This hotel is at the top of the Spanish Steps in Rome. There are restaurants near the top of the steps and further down on Via Sistina. The hotel staff were very helpful! The view from the rooftop bar is lovely.

The hotel staff was friendly.
You have to pay for basic TV. Also, we were not met at the entrance i.e. no one handled our bags.

Hotel with a great location. I don't believe this is a four start hotel, its very average when compared to hotels in America.

Great location - right above Spanish step and next to Hassler, clean and comfortable, quiet environment.
Doing walking tours from the hotel require stepping down and climbing up the steps of the famous landmark.

It is a fantastic hotel with great location.

It is in a perfect location for sight seeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop was gorgeous, we went there every evening.

We were beyond pleased. The rooms were more spacious than I thought they would be. The rooms must be sound proof as they were very quiet. The staff speaks perfect English and were extremely helpful and kind. The rooftop bar had live music every evening, you cannot beat the view. We hope to visit Rome again and stay at this outstanding hotel.
