Hotel Guest Reviews of the Deauville Beach Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The oceanfront view was breathtaking and the entrance was nice as well.
The lower level where the cafe and pool were smelled intensely like Cat aka Mold. Also, I got stuck in the elevator and they didn't do anything. I hit the alarm and got out myself. I was stuck between the 7th and 8th floor.

Beautiful view and beach. However, I got stuck in the elevator between the 7th and 8th floor and they didn't do anything! The staff was rude and wouldn't answer my questions or concerns and all I did was smile and try to be positive-but the manager was nice. The lower level floor smelled intensely like Mold aka cat smell and it was so bad we couldn't eat at the cafe. The room was beautiful. ...read more

The staff was nice.
Has retro potential, but the owners are clearly cheap bastards. CFLs in the lobby? Nice atmosphere, bro. They don't even provide "Do Not Disturb" signs unless you request them. Parking is a block away and is $30 per night, no negotiation.

Stay here no more than one night.

Way out dated rooms. Had no blankets. Took a long time for service. Lots of others were complaining at desk each time I went there.

Bed was very comfortable. I thought I had reserved a queen and got a king.
I wish I knew there would be a mandatory fee for something about the lounge and beach access. We weren't there long enough to take advantage of them.

Nothing I would never go back.
No dressers for clothes. No washcloths. It was filthy.

Spend your money somewhere else.

Great location; very dirty room; unhelpful staff. Disappointed with Priceline. The hotel gave us the worst room in the hotel.
Worst room ever that I have stayed in during all my travels.

Great location; Good ocean views; bad service and bad room.

The resort fee. I would have booked a hotel in a different area at a higher rate had I known there was a $20 resort fee. I wasn't even in Miami for 24 hours. The $20 resort fee is just a money grab.

The resort fee is a rip off. It adds $20 to whatever rate you pay and this place isn't really a resort. It's a hotel. I would have paid a higher rate at a hotel closer to Sun Life Stadium had I known about the resort fee. The cab fare would have been significantly less and more than made up for the $20 difference. The location is great if you want to be on the beach. I didn't go into the pool, but I wouldn't have wanted to either. It looked dirty and the water level was very low. The room was ok, but nothing great. It's kind of weird to have a folding chair in the shower. The $30 parking fee is also pretty high considering you have to park your own car a block away. I won't be going back to this place. ...read more

The only nice thing about this hotel was that it was right on the beach and had a very large outdoor pool area.
We had no hot water in our room, the hot tub outside was a lukewarm bath temperature at best, the pool was in some state of being either filled or drained (it was always just half full) and to top it off we were charged a mandatory service fee when we che

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, ever. Very disappointing on every level. It is out of the way, front desk staff is not helpful, there are problems with the rooms (no hot water) and there are mandatory hidden fees at check out. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told there was no one in yet. That was when we checked out at 10am. Overall just a crappy experience. ...read more

Right on the beach.
No parking onsite.

The Deauville was once a great hotel. In it's heyday it was host to the Beatles during their performances on the Ed Sullivan Show in the 60's. The Lobby area still holds a lot of charm, but the rooms and other public areas have seen better days. Given it's history I was hoping for a bit more. We stayed for 4 days. The cleaning staff short-changed us towels on a daily basis, and on the final day, did not leave us any coffee. There is a $15.00 a day resort fee to get use of beach towels and lounge chairs and coffee in your room. The pool needs a coat of paint (as does a lot of the place), the bottom is stained. Be warned, there is no parking onsite, but there is a public parking lot just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. From 8 am to 6 pm it's $1.00 an hour, after 6 pm to 8 am it's free. The saving grace of the place is the proximity to the beach. ...read more
