Welcome to the Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge
Floating away in comfort thanks to dreamy beds and an invigorating indoor pool and hot tub, Priceline guests rank the non-smoking Banff Delta Royal Canadian Lodge a royally good choice.
While quite contemporary, this three-story hotel integrates classic lodge elements, including timeless river rock detailing. The 99 stately rooms and suites impress with custom-made Canadian maple furnishings and local artwork. Cozy fireplaces are hot features in select rooms. Complimentary internet is refreshing, as are windows that open to let in fresh mountain air. There are a number of ways guests can feed their senses, including over breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant, a massage at the on-site spa or a soothing soak in the indoor saltwater pool and hot tub. Active guests can let it rip at the on-site fitness room. Valet parking is an additional fee.
Right on Banff's main commercial street, within one block to choice restaurants, the hotel is a 10-minute stroll to the cool shops and neat galleries dotting downtown Banff. Those wanting to go straight to the top are three miles from the Banff Gondola, shooting guests to the peak of Sulphur Mountain in record time. For prime picture-taking, guests follow the road to Bow Falls, one-and-a-half miles away. Calgary International Airport is 89 miles from the hotel.

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Delta. First time being in Banff, we didnt really know what to expect but all-in-all a great experience. Complimentary upgrade to a King suite w/ fireplace as there were not many people staying there during our stay (mid-week in the 1st week of June). Very friendly staff and overall a great experience. Would consider going back.

This hotel staff is excellent in providing good tips to the best hikes around town. They also offer free bikes during the biking months which is great if you don't want to spend money on rentals!

Even though, there was so much construction and the hotel was empty they made us pay to upgrade our room.
We were not aware that the hotel was under construction, and considering this nuisance. Eye sore and noise. Even though, there was so much construction and the hotel was empty they made us pay to upgrade our room (which was also a disappointment because the fireplace was very dated and not worth the extra money).

As a Hilton Diamond member for the past 7 years, I thought this would be on par with most of the Hilton's I have stayed at. Upon entry of the room, the carpet and furniture was worn. The view of the backyard of a run-down house was not very pleasant. Not an inviting first impression. However, the bathroom had been updated and had a separate shower and sink area which was very nice. I know that Delta is fairly large chain in Canada, so I was expecting much better. Unfortunately, I probably would not recommend this to friends/family nor would I stay in a Delta property again.
