Hotel Guest Reviews of the Detroit Regency Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This place was a dump.
As soon as we check into the hotel there were people smoking pot in the lobby. You would be better off staying in your car.

STAY AWAY AND GO TO ANOTHER PLACE.

Helpful, upbeat, friendly staff. The staff was five star.
My bed sheets were dirty! Yuck. Oh we'll.

It is two star, with five star people working in it. The breakfast is a bit low end but the waffle machine is always a favorite of mine and they have one. I would stay here again and be very happy.

The shuttle service and friendly staff.
The location and the appearance. I was a little scared at first.

The location was a little scary at first, but once we saw other guests we felt ok. The shuttle service was awesome.

Good location with free parking and decent access to downtown.
Fitness center is "out of order" as was the alarm clock in our room. Shuttle bus from downtown seemed to be bringing back a constant stream of very loud and obnoxious drunks until all hours of the morning.

Decent price compared to other hotels downtown. Free parking. Good access to Greektown, Ford Field, Comerica Park, Cobo, Joe Louis and the Riverwalk. Bring your ear plugs if there's a homegame or big event.

Location
They lied and said there was a pool, and a horrible free breakfast

It's a nice choice overall for price and location, I would not book this place for more than a one night stay

It was close to the Joe Louis Arena.
The elevator broke and the gym was broke.

Wouldn't go back for the price I paid.

Nothing. This is the worst flea bag, I've ever stayed at, what a dump.
