For the price, I was expecting a nicer room. The mattress cover did not look like it had been changed or washed, and there was a hole in the top sheet. Details matter in the realm of cleanliness.

Customer service was FANTASTIC. I don't understand the concerns people had with the location, it was a great location. My room was spacious, clean, and trendy. The brownie was yummy too! Lol. This will be my go to hotel

I was looking for a hotel that was centrally located, reasonably priced and had quiet rooms. The District fit all of these criteria. With only 5 rooms on a floor it was very quiet, rooms were very clean and comfortable. We came into NY on the bus, so the location across from Port Authority was perfect. The hotel is a short walk to Times Square and to the subway. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel staff was always very helpful and quick to meet any request or need.
Having to call for ice.
The hotel front desk staff where warm and friendly. All other staff and meet each request quickly and efficiently. It was like, I was the only person there. Lots of foreign nationals who were friendly and fun to get to know.

The staff were warm and cordial. It was extremely clean, and the restaurant was good.
Though I asked, I never got the free shoe shine that was advertised.
My husband and I spent one night at the District. It was a great find! The staff were all quite helpful and friendly, and, most importantly for me, the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was a little pricy, but our waiter went out of his way to make sure we had a great meal, substituting a lovely fresh fruit side when sausage was not available. I love the bathrobes and chocolates on the pillow. What a delightful welcome! ...
