Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree Collinsville St Louis

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Very loud nighttime noises by other customers, everyone complained about. No fridge in my king bedroom, but my friend got a double bedroom & got a fridge. I wrote a complaint on Doubletrees website, but next time will go w/my Marriott's I am a member of!!

The common areas are gorgeous
The Handicapped room had a roll-in shower with the hot water restricted to warm. Just because I am disabled does not mean that I do not like HOT showers. We were in room 102 which also had an air condtioning unit that was poorly functioning.

The hotel is well located if you need to be in the NE area of ST Louis. It was very conveinent to the Highways.

Double tree's are generally very nice. This is one of their lower level properties, but still OK.
My vehicle was broken into in the parking lot and while the staff was apologetic, their response was less than stelar. About 2000 in stolen items plus damage to the vehicle. The parking lot is poorly monitored, does not have security cameras.

While I have always enjoyed my stays at Doubletree properties and have stayed at this hotel before, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. My vehicle was broken into in the parking lot and while the staff was apologetic, their response was less than stelar. About 2000 in stolen items plus damage to the vehicle. The parking lot is poorly monitored, does not have security cameras. Staff response was "This never happens here". They also mentioned that the staff "walks the lot a couple times a night", clearly inadequate security. This was done by a pro team, they managed to break into the van without setting off the alarm by shattering a side window, then unlocking the vehicle. I'm a traveling musician and tend to be fairly aware of surroundings. There were 2 guys in the parking lot smoking as I came in, one of which walked around close enough to see me unload which seemed odd to me at the time. In retrospect, I believe they were watching the lot for potential victims. A great disappointment and extreme inconvenience for me. While the staff was apologetic and somewhat helpful, no real attempt was made on their part other than to call the police. ...read more

The lobby/bar/restaurant are gorgeous. I liked it being east of St. Louis so we could proceed east in the morning without running into downtown traffic. The room was really nice too - super contemporary decorating.
The tile in the bathroom (room 425) needed to be cleaned and recaulked. But everything else was very clean and fresh. The room was not cooled down when we arrived ant the hallways a bit muggy too.

I thought it was better than the three stars that Priceline gave it. Very different in that the decorating was really nice - super contemporary. Hot Starbucks coffee in the morning!

Very nice hotel and accomodations. Basically everything seemed cleaned and well kept. Front desk staff was excellent and efficient.
However, I noticed in the bathtub area the grout should have been cleaned as their was some mildew.

Location was excellent as we were attending an event at the Convention Center which was in walking distance.

Staff was friendly and helpful! They have an awesome outdoor area with a fire pit.

Great location to stay if you are looking for something with a decent price that is just outside St. Louis. The hotel staff was friendly, the decor is beautiful, and everything is modern and clean.

The hotel rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. Wonderful warm cookies welcomed us! A bulb was out in the brm upon our arrival, but was replaced soon after we let them know. Great service.
The hotel was 15-20 minutes away from Fairview Heights specifically requested and was inconvenient to where we needed to be during our stay. This was a trip due to a family medical emergency so staying in city specifically requested was crucial.

Hotel rooms were clean and staff was great. The rooms' walls are very thin so our first floor was not the quietest and our 3 little ones had to speak in whispers to maintain some level of quiet for those around us. We could hear the neighbors' normal conversation and tv as I am sure they heard ours. The location of the hotel is not the greatest, but there are also worse. It was not conveniently located for our specific needs, but would be okay for someone just passing through on I55. I had specifically requested a hotel in Fairview Heights. Our SUV was keyed during the 2 nd night of our stay which was extremely frustrating. Security cameras are not installed in the lot. A couple of items were left in the room and we attempted to retrieve them within hours of realizing it, but were told that the most expensive item had been "thrown away" while the other item was in "lost and found." I offered to search the trash dumpster but was told that it had probably been picked up. Our own fault for leaving the items, but it makes no sense that the more valuable item had been discarded. Why would one item be put in lost and found and the other thrown away? ...read more

Front desk staff was very professional and treated us like royalty on arrival. The pool was busy that night and the staff did an excellent job keeping towels supplied which often proved to be a challenge at other hotels we've been in.
Everything was great.
