Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree Golf Resort San Diego

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

We had a nice big room, located away from the main building. Nice and quiet. The hotel staff was exceedingly helpful!
Our room did not have a refrigerator or microwave.

The hotel is located just off I-15, about 20 miles north of downtown San Diego. We did not take advantage of the golf course. There is a daily charge for parking on the property overnight.

We really liked the lay out of the hotel rooms. Very spread out and private. The hotel room itself was nice and large with excellent bedroom/bathroom accommodations. Nice large screen TV, very comfortable bed, and those doubletree pillows are the best!
It was a little out of the way, but for the price and quality of the hotel, it was well worth the drive!

We rate this a ten out of ten! Excellent hotel that definitely meets the 3 1/2 star rating! While I have this chance, I would like to say that the Windham hotel on Sports Arena Blvd. should not be rated as a 3 star. It is 2 1/2 at best. I only say this because when I look for 3 star hotels in San Diego via priceline, that hotel is the only one that we hope we don't get.

The young lady at the front desk (Jamie?) was amazing. She put me in a locaton that was perfect for my one night getaway.
Bathroom shower needed work, but the bed was very comfortable...top notch

I was just on an overnight stay in between work and work and home. So I really wanted some peace and quiet and a comfy bed. That is exactly what I got.

The rooms are very large and the staff is very accommodating. None of the rooms have refrigerators, but when I asked about that they had one brought to my room immediately. I was very impressed with the staff.
No refrigerators in rooms (but they'll bring you one if you ask). Grounds appear a little bit run down, but still it is a nice resort. Also, they charge for parking! I can understand that in the heart of a city, but not in the suburbs.

I recommend this hotel. I stay there for business, not leisure, so I can't comment on the amenities such as the golf course and the swimming pool. The breakfast is average, but the rooms are large and nicely appointed. Charging for parking seems a bit ridiculous, since this hotel is located in suburban San Diego.

Nice location and work out facilities.
Room was a bit noisy and parking was a little hike. For the extra $10/day they charge for parking, I would have thought the parking would be convenient. There was an even there 1 night that forced me to park even further away.

Overall a nice place to stay. The A/C is loud and come on an off all night. If that kind of thing would drive you crazy, stay elsewhere or don't turn on the A/C. Loved the pool and workout facilities. Had daily classes there for free too. A big plus!
