Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree Hotel New Orleans

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Valet service, though pricey, was very good.
Cost of valet service!

Good, convenient place to stay adjacent to French Quarter and CBD. We would stay here again.

good location
Hotel needs a major remodel. Mold on ceiling, window sill completely fell off, and cracks in ceiling.

Location! Great location to everywhere and the price was superb!
I wish they gave the free cookies when I checked-in in stead of asking for it.

Great location, and if you can get a deal, it's perfect.

Location. Parking was very expensive, but at least it was in/out.

The location was great and the cleaning staff did excellent.
The bar staff wasn't pleasant and pool wasn't open.

Over all the hotel was good. Kinda surprised the didn't offer a free continental breakfast. Liked that we had in and out privileges without getting charged again.

The bartenders were very nice as well as the front desk staff.
The cleaning staff was incredibly noisy at 7:00 in the morning and throughout the a.m. For New Orleans, I would expect they would plan on people not getting up at the crack of dawn.

This hotel is located directly across the street from Harrah's Casino and the mall and right next to the French Quarter, so it is very centrally located for one wanting to see most of the area.

Great location, great mattresses/comforters on the beds
Not really. Pillows are a little too flimsy but that's being picky. Our room was at the end of a hall near a staff closet or something so there was occasional noise if you were in the bathroom, but it wasn't anything at all to complain about.

Great location, very comfortable beds, decent rates most times of the year for a hotel of this caliber.

The location was ideal. Just far enough from the French Quarter to get a good night's sleep, but close enough to walk there in a couple minutes.
The bathroom was ridiculously small. In order to enter, I had to open the door and then shimmy my body to the side so that I could close the door behind me. Same goes for getting into the shower. It was an insanely cramped space.

Due to its location, I would recommend this hotel, but don't expect it to be luxurious. It's fine and was clean, which is obviously the most important thing. If you're using it as a place to crash, you'll be happy. If you're planning on spending your honeymoon here, this place might be a bit too small and corporate.

The location was awesome, especially since we booked this hotel so we could go to the zoo, the aquarium, and the insectarium. The Insectarium is practically across the street with all the access to the Bourbon street seafood.
Absolutely not. Everything about this hotel was great.

This hotel is great to stay in if you want to be able to walk/take the trolley anywhere from the Zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium, Bourbon, and even the French Market. Very awesome location, clean room, friendly staff. Definitely would recommend this one, folks.
