Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree Hotel Portland
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 21, 2013

Great hotel. Views of either city or Mount Hood. Slightly, barely, dated. $9 per car to park. Have to pay for internet if you are not an ATT mobile wi-fi subscriber or member of their special club. They do have computers near the lobby to use, free of charge, though. Wish balcony had bars that were closer together... almost had a heart attack when my 4 year-old went out there, as, technically, he could have fit between the bars. Fantastic location right accross the street from Lloyd Center, near I-5 and I-84. Wouldn't hang out in the park accross the street at night, though. Great coffee. Decent food. ...

Everything went smoothly, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and there's lots of free parking on the surrounding streets at night & on weekends.

Was good value on priceline, but could use some room updating still. Beds were great though and that's my #1 need in a hotel room.

It was our first stay at a Doubletree Hilton and it does not compare to Hilton. They do not supply the same amenities as Hilton, despite what they say on website. They did not offer us a refrigerator, which for 3 nights we would have liked, although they asked other guests. The housekeeper did not clean well, just taking out trash, we tipped 3-5 dollars per night. Overall the sleeping units have no soundproof. We could hear people talking and television noise, and there were door numbers missing, it could use some touchups. However, as is usual for Portland, employees are friendly enough although we were displeased that one server misinformed us. We asked if the buffet offered specific items, he said they did, and we ordered the buffet only to find the items we asked about were not there. The business center is a plus, since you can easily look up places you want to go. However, don't trust the information desk as depending on who it is, they may give you sketchy directions. You can check out and have the guest services hold on to your luggage until you are headed for the airport. They do not offer shuttle service, so you need to take a cab when arriving late at night. But during the day, the Max runs conveniently from the hotel to PDX. All in all, for the price we paid, we are happy, we did not expect much, but we don't think it's worth what the regular rates are for this Doubletree by Hilton. ...
