Nice clean rooms and excellent staff. Good Cookies!

It is a little out of the way but they have a suttle that takes you where you want to go within reason.

Our room was spacious, a great layout, and clean. The restaurant did serve delish food and the tv's everywhere made it cozy and created an inviting atmosphere
They were remodeling the lobby and restaurant area when we were there which made for a little bit of inconvenience.

Be aware there are no refrigerators in the rooms.

The location was great easy access from the freeway. Clean rooms.
The parking spaces are very tight for mid size and larger cars.

The bed was very comfy and the room was decent overall. Staff were friendly and it was nice to not have to pay for parking.
The door to the bathroom is a sliding door. It is heavy and cumbersome to use.

Great location just a few minutes from San Diego.

The location couldn't be better. Central to La Jolla & Del Mar. Extremely convenient!
This is the first hotel I've ever stayed in where I have nothing but great things to say.

Wonderful location. Only minute away from downtown Del Mar. My favorite commodity was the free shuttle they offered which dropped us off on the hart of Del Mar to enjoy a great evening without worrying about parking or driving. The entire staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great hotel.

Basic but comfortable rooms. Nice workout area
Very thin walls and amenities I expect weren't available: no coffee maker in rooms, poor lighting, and curtains didn't keep all the light out. Also given impression at check-in that continental breakfast was complimentary, then were charged $18

Doubletree del mar was adequate but I wouldn't recommend staying here I you plan to spend much time in your room. Very basic rooms that didn't have a coffee maker, blinds allowed some light into room, very thin walls, no fridge and the ice bucket so small it was hard to chill anything down. The hotel is isolated, with a Von's a few minutes drive away but not much else. They offer a free shuttle within five miles, probably because there isn't much to go to within five miles. At the checkin we were told it was six miles, but after asking the next day (the wedding we were in town for was 5.7 mi away) we found it is a five mile limit. If you have breakfast make sure you have a voucher. We had impression after checking in that it was complimentary (and were rather impressed with the variety of lukewarm items on warming trays), then got a bill for $18 each. Definitely not worth anything close to that amount. ...read more

it was a nice hotel, and the stay began pleasantly.
a fire alarm went off in the middle of the night (around 4am), and roused everyone from their beds. all customers had to evacuate the building for an hour. when i returned to my room, i noticed that it had flooded (a room above me caused the flood).

after my stay here, i contacted the hotel about my dissatisfaction with my experience. i mentioned that i had checked in around midnight and went to sleep shortly thereafter only to be jarred awake a couple hours later by an alarm that sent all patrons out of the building into the cold night for an hour. i mentioned how when i returned to my room, i noticed it had been flooded (apparently a room above me had a sprinkler malfunction that set off the alarm). i mentioned that in addition to all of this chaos, i was forced to change rooms. i also mentioned that i needed to leave the hotel at 9am which left me with an extremely unpleasant stay with minimal sleep. i asked the hotel manager if they could offer me another night's stay, comped, which they denied. when a customer is this dissatisfied with their experience, management should go out of their way to make it right. they did not. this was the first time i had any association with this hotel, and it will be my last. ...read more

The hotel was reasonably close to where we needed to be. The bed was comfortable.
Although the grounds and pool are beautiful, and the price was right, the room was a bit cramped with two adults and a child.

The king bed-room w/a pull-out was nice to have with a child along, but the pull-out actually cramped the room greatly. There was little room to navigate in. Also, there was no fridge in the room. In-room coffee is a nice convenience, but the coffee & tea available for "free" in the restaurant was a pleasant addition to our stay. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey.
