Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree Hotel San Diego Downtown
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 18, 2013

The hotel was very nice. Comfortable bed, great hot shower, tasty breakfast buffet. It was a bit of a walk down to the convention center though.

We were EXTREMELY disappointed with this hotel! The location was not great, the rooms were gross and not taken care of at all. We were moved 3 time. We use Priceline all of the time, but this was BY FAR the worst experience we've had a hotel. In fact, we want our money back!!!

Great location, just off I5. Easy to find parking on the street. Staff were very nice. Travelling with a baby, we needed a fridge to store milk but the room did not have one. When we asked if they could store milk for us in their fridge, they offered to send one up to our room right away, which I thought was very accommodating.

Basically, it is a good hotel, if they could lower their parking fee somehow, that should be very great, i.e., $10~15 should be reasonable.

Call the hotel first and see if the pool is fixed or bring earplugs.

I'd say if you rent a car, don't stay in downtown as there is a parking fee. The hotel is close to the zoo but not that close to the Sea World & very far from Legoland, so if you don't have a car, you'll have to pay a lot for a cab as there is no shuttle & Public transportation is not that great. The hotel is close to Little Italy and Seaport Village.

Nice, well maintained, clean hotel, I would stay there again because of the location. Staff was friendly and our four days had no bad experiences.
