Odered room service 1 1/4 hrs later still didn't come. I cancelled it at that point. For the price I expected better service

This is a large hotel with lots of parking. Common spacces are large and there were many parties there when I stayed. Good location and nice atmosphere at the bar. Very friendly staff.

Maids were noisy and slow. Bathroom tub n eeded renovating.

Classy hotel, but without upkeep as bathtub and ironing board needed renovating. Good breakfast restaurant.

Staff was really nice - front desk. Also, we stopped for a glass of wine at the bar, and the bartender was SO nice, so friendly. No noise from ice-makers!
One thing I really hate HATE is when the housekeeping staff does not replace the coffee cups, coffee, creamer, etc. If we used 2 cups, all the creamer and coffee the first day, we need the same the second day. Pet peeve - I want a bathroom with a fan...

It's big, there may be an event happening and parking might be around the back. However, there are a LOT of entrances around the property, once you have your key.

Great location for exploring Manhattan and shopping at outlets. Free parking.
Nope - all was up to expectations, except maybe the long long walk to our room. But we then discovered we could park virtually outside our room so that was fine.

I chose Tarrytown because it is by the river, 35 minutes by train or car from central Manhattan, and 30 minutes from Woodbury Commons shopping outlet (the principal reason for our trip !). I like the independence of having a rental car (essential for shopping at Woodbury - we had 2 sets of keys so my wife and I could head off in different directions and keep coming back to the car independently in order drop off carrier bags). You would think Manhattan a nightmare for cars but I found reasonable parking by using vouchers from XXXXXXXXXXXXXX- I was a bit wary at first but then found there was no problem in getting them accepted. Another major reason for a hotel 'in the country' is that your room is twice the size of a Manhattan hotel and one third of the price ! I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff at the Doubletree - I reckon the hotel should be 4 stars... Would definitely stay there again. ...read more

An inroom safe and fridge would have been nice

Great location, right off freeways. Onsite restaurant and one across the street. Great bagel place nearby serving excellent bagel sandwiches. Try the LOX bagel sandwich.

The internet printing facility is great.

Great Doubletree hotel. Nice staff and nice facility, not that I used any of it as was there looking for an apartment for my daughter so was off from the morning till the evening doing viewings.
