Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree Hotel Washington DC - Crystal City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

THe refurbished rooms are great, lovely lobby and GREAT GYM.
staff was hit or miss, the internet is $12/day

good location for the accessibility to metro, nice modern room with all the amenities EXCEPT WIFI. really, $12/day for wifi? it's free in the lobby but i love sitting in bed to work. the gym is huge and immaculate! and they give out free warm cookies at check in.

In all honesty - nothing. Total surprise with the $12 a day internet, $26 a day parking and no free breakfast, coffee, newspaper in the room - NOTHING.
Nothing was included. We had to pay an additional $26 a day for parking in a horrible parking garage that was a nightmare to navigate, Had to pay $12 daily for internet. No coffee in the lobby, no newspaper delivery to the room. No breakfast included. :(

I felt like I was in an old cheap Vegas hotel, not at all what I expected. It was a major disappointment. By today's standards - they offered nothing as well as having an unfriendly staff. I am usually very pleased with my Priceline deals and have stayed at various 4 star hotel chains, but I would not give this one even one star. Old dark and dingy rooms. Could not close the bathroom door if you sat on the toilet - no space or room whatsoever. The lighting in the bathroom was horrific - had to do makeup by the open window which, by the way, looked right at a closed, broken down old highrise that appeared condemned with homeless guys hanging out below. At one point the escalator was off for the day... none of the staff was friendly. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and being listed with the 4 star hotels is a blatant lie. ...read more

Staff was wonderful.
Location is iffy - not really METRO accessible. Also... it was funny... but there was no trash can in the bathroom.

Location was ok but not great. Staff was fairly helpful. Not close to restaurants, although I didn't mind the walk.
Room was especially run down, tired, and not clean. Hair on the bed; A dirty floor. It felt like a substandard room, which sometimes happens when I book via priceline. Still, this was on the Hilton Honors floor, so it should have been ok. It wasn't.

OK if you get an outstanding rate. Many other good choices in the area.
