Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree New Orleans Airport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing really stood out that I can say I liked the best about the hotel.
The room I stayed in had furniture that needed to be replaced (shades had holes, chrome was peeling on lamps) and etc.

Overall the hotel was okay, however I did book a single room with two double/queen sized beds and when checked it I got a single king. It was suppose to be a sleep number bed but of course it did not work so one side was extremely firm and the other was not. Not to mention that they also put me in a handicapped room so taking a shower/ bath was the worst experience I have ever had, each time I had to use all the towels so soak up all the water that was in the bathroom since it did not drain properly. The location was okay, just 10-20 mins away from the French Quarters depending on the traffic. ...read more

The friendliness of the woman who checked me in
It took over an hour for the shuttle to pick me up from the airport, but it is only a 5 minute drive. I called 4 times.

The rooms are really nice and comfortable, great beds!

Staff was great, room was comfortable.
Parking in back was too dark.

We really liked the hotel. The pool area was really nice. Wish we had time to use it. We were sent to a wonderful non touristy local restaurant for dinner which is what we requested.

The chocolate chip cookie.
Inconvenient access and departure as far as driving. Must make u-turn to get in parking. Parking lot inadequately lit and in back of hotel.

Very clean and attractive with nice amenities.
The parking lot is not conveniently located or well lit.

The rooms at this hotel are excellent. They are clean and well maintained. The only downside that I have is that there is only 1 elevator, which is not great for a hotel of this size. Also, most of the parking is in the rear of the hotel, and forces you to have to walk a considerably longer distance to enter the hotel. This walk is also a dark and secluded walk at night.

Free cookies. Friendly staff. Clean hotel/rooms. 2 minutes away from mall
I loved everything about this hotel.

This was a great hotel! We got there and they checked us in very quickly. They gave us complimentary cookies; they were warm and delicious. The room was very clean, equipped with sleep number beds, very clean towels and bathroom overall. While in town, my car battery went bad and the employees at the hotel did everything in there power to help. They even took me to the auto zone around the corner in the hotel shuttle to purchase a new battery. The nice man in the engineering department, Antonio, I believe, diagnosed my cars problem, took out the battery and places a new one in. He did not complain once and he stayed there all evening with my friends and I until the job was complete. They have us extended check out and to go cookies. I can honestly say that this has been one of my top hotel stays ever.
