Hotel Guest Reviews of the Eastside Lodge

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The 2 rooms we got were adjoining and worked perfect for our stay.
The staff was not very friendly and actually found them to be a bit rude, not only in checking me in, but also with another customer. There were not enough parking spacing to accommodate all the rooms either and curb parking is timed.

The hotel itself was nice enough. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were decent. The rooms had a refrigerator, microwave, but no coffee pot. The beds were comfortable and clean. The elevator was quite a nice feature aswell. However, the parking situation was very frustrating. There were clearly not enough spaces to accommodate the rooms and the curb side parking was timed Mon - Fri. Fortunately we stayed on a Saturday. It was conveniently located close enough to our event that we could just walk to it. The lady checking me in was not very courteous. She called my cell phone just before the 2:00 check-in and left a message that my credit card that I provided had expired. (I had made the reservations months in advance). I checked in just 10 minutes after she had called, provided my new credit card, and she told me that I was lucky because she was about to cancel my reservation, after only waiting 10 minutes! Then when I asked for a later check-out time of 1:00pm due to the event we were attending, she said that 12:00 was the latest she could extend us. Well, we ended up not making it back to the hotel until 12:30 and the desk was calling us and threatening to charge for another day. We had packed and just needed to get our things out of the room when we go back so it really took no time for that, but they were just rude about it all. Under different circumstances, I may stay there again because I know my situation doesn't happen all the time. ...read more

The staff were friendly, the price was right, and the location is pretty great! The rooms were older, but they were clean and comfortable.

I would definitely stay here again! Obviously you don't get too many extra's at a hotel like this (you are paying for the bed, the bathroom, the lighting, and a TV/internet access), but the staff, the location, the cleanliness, and the price make it a great deal.

It is what it is. Fine hotel for business travel or band. Not exactly a romantic getaway but clean bathroom, shower, great staff. Get a great (and CHEAP!) breakfast sandwich and coffee drink at Grendel's down the street. Even had great gluten

Good location close to downtown and affordable rates.
Our room had a faint odor.

The Eastside Lodge did us just fine for a "guy's weekend away". The place isn't fancy by any means, but it has free parking, free wireless and is in a great location close to downtown Portland. Everything was clean, though dated. This isn't a "romantic getaway" by any means but it is what it is - a good, cheap, clean motel in pretty much the perfect location. Perfect for a trip where you basically expect to be out enjoying the city and basically just sleeping at the hotel. ...read more

Location was nice. Bars and sights were walking distance.
It wasn't the cleanest place. Lots of random hairs.

The staff was very nice and accommodating.
There were no plug-ins in the bathroom.

The hotel is in a good area for the nightlife, yet it is not a scary hotel which you sometimes are afraid you may get for a cheap price- this hotel was not at all sketchy, the staff was very friendly, there were many good coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, i would stay here again if in Portland
