Hotel Guest Reviews of the Econo Lodge Cave City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

For the price, the room was was clean and orderly.
Found it very difficult to get a towel from front desk; checked back twice in the evening and was unable to get a fourth towel for the room from front desk clerk. Television was very outdated (No HD)

Family visited Mammoth Cave and stayed at this value-priced hotel.

The location. It was close to Mammoth Caves and Kentucky Down Under.
The staff at the front desk were very rude. Every where we went everybody was very welcoming except at our hotel. They never smiled and treated us as an inconvenience. We had 4 people in our room amd they refused to give us more than 3the towels.

Don't stay there. There are other hotels right there for close to the same price.

Low rates, safe town, free coffee, free breakfast.
Old comforters, hard beds. Outdoor corridor to enter rooms. This becomes problematic on chilly nights, as it takes awhile to get the room warm! In addition, the shower water was lukewarm the next morning.

I had to book this room at the last minute. Not terrible for the price point, and if you just need to crash for a few hours. But you definitely get what you pay for...see the above complaints.

Location was good, pool was nice
Room smelled bad, gave impression of being dirty

Cheap bottom rung hotel. If you want the cheapest with a fair quality room this is the place. We had a non-smoking room, but it stunk like people had been smoking in it.

The air conditioner cooled the room to my satisfaction, pool was nice, beds were comfortable.
Hot tub was not working, pool chairs were broken, there were bugs in the bathroom the next morning.

This was an inexpensive place to stay that provided the needs I had. The pool was a nice outdoor pool, but the hot tub was not working and the pool ladder and furniture needed repaired. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was eager to please and the continental breakfast was adequate. I stayed at one of the state resorts two days earlier for twice the price and half the benefits. In comparison this place was better by far. Very kid friendly. ...read more

Free breakfast, free wifi.
Smoke detector sounded without reason at about 7 a.m.

Price was right for a night beside the interstate.

Staff was very friendly and for the price this was a very good deal- nice pool

Good for an inexpensive stay- close to tourist areas around Mammoth Cave especially if you are staying with kids- mini golf, arcade, McDonalds etc closeby and a large pool which was clean. If you need to do business by internet the area is tough to get a signal- not the hotel's fault just the location because it's rural.
