Hotel Guest Reviews of the Econo Lodge Montpelier
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 30, 2013

The first thing we noticed was how small the room was! We had booked a room with two queen beds so there wasn't much room for anything else. The bathroom was also extremely small. It was, however, conveneint to the main attractions in Vermont. We came to visit the New England Culinary Institute and it was only minutes away. We figured since we weren't going to be spending much time in the hotel room anyway, why spend a lot of money? There weren't many other guests there so it was quiet and we were not disturbed. ...

A good place to stay if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Better than most budget mom and pop places.

It did not have standard network television so we were unable to watch the Olympics. The Internet signal was very weak. We could not rely on their wi-fi for our Internet needs. Doors open to a public hallway with no security and room locks were minimal. Anyone could wander into the hotel. Finally continental breakfast was pitiful and there was not enough room for guests to sit.

Looks like it is on the verge of collapsing. Interior is early American rummage. Rugs in rough shape.

The worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I slept on top of the covers in my clothes because it was so late by the time I checked in (1:00 a.m.). Out of 4 pillows, I found 1 that looked fairly clean and did not have someone else's hair on it! The room smelled like mold. Breakfast was included, I had a bowl of stale cereal and 2 sausage links. When I went to get a yogurt it was one week past the use by date. Only saving grace, the coffee was not bad. ...

We had no hot water the morning after our stay; the manager was unavailable and so we were not given any kind of discount or compensated in any way for this inconvenience.
