Hotel Guest Reviews of the Econo Lodge Sumter
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.June 11, 2013

this hotel is in need of up grades for
XXX a night. The out side appearance wasn't a inviting environment. Physical security was a concern as the were parking lots joined with other hotels. The staff was friendly the whole time I was there. Appearance needs to be improve to be worth the
XXX a night.

The non-smoking room smelled of smoke, probably because the entire staff, including the people cleaning the rooms, smoked while on the job. Also odd that many guests were hanging out of their rooms, and smoking. Hot tub not hot. Breakfast room dismal, but food OK

The air conditioner leaked down the door and shorted out the card lock. We had to get maintenance to come with a regular key. Breakfast food was not bad, but there was very little of it. Cook was outside talking to someone and people were coming in and seeing there was no food and going to the front desk to complain. We didn't get much to eat and didn't wait. The little bit
I did get was good 2 pieces of bacon and 2 halves of French toast this was the last on the bar. Nothing else.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Sumter, SC.. Unless you are a very picky person that expects 5 star service and unrealistically ZERO negative qualities, this hotel will not disappoint you and will provide you with everything that one would expect from a hotel.
