Hotel Guest Reviews of the Edgewater Inn Coos Bay

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

My mom likes the hotel and it was her birthday her pick.
I understand that when we go through Priceline or kayak to expect a 1st floor parking lot view. I didn't expect the rude family with small children above running back and forth endlessly with no parents stopping them at 6 am.

My mom really likes it here, but after this last visit I think it will be the last. We go to Coos Bay to see my daughter that's in her first yr college. With this last visit and three nodoz in one hr just to drive home due to no sleep I see no return.

Had a great pool/hot tub area.
Needs to be updated.

Price was good for what we got. Wasn't the newest looking hotel but it was clean, continental breakfast was also fresh.

Quiet; location in town. Great water pressure in the shower.
I have stayed here a few times over more than 10 years. Everything has slowly deteriorated, now badly needs replacing and updating. There's an old hotel smell that I really didn't like, probably due mainly to carpet and drapes.

The price is reasonable, but the facility badly needs refreshing.

The motel was right on a riverfront; the fog settling on the water in the morning was refreshing and the birds visiting the water a pleasure to see.

While the property is showing its age, the staff is friendly and the room comfortable. It was close to a grocery store and quite near the downtown area. The staff was helpful with questions we had. The continental breakfast adequate, with fruit, oatmeal, breakfast breads, juice and coffee.

The pool/hot tub and pool area was nice and the view of the river/bay was beautiful. Convenient location.
Rooms and hall echoed horribly. Staff was rude and cold & seemed worried we had a small child.

This hotel was good for the price and a very convenient location. Right next to store and dining. Beautiful views of the bay and nice pool and hot tub area. Unfortunately the staff seemed worried that we had a small child and seemed annoyed when we checked in, and the rooms were incredibly echoey as well as the hall ways. Could hear quiet conversations in the hall and doors slamming, water running etc. ...read more

The shower was awesome and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was also great.
The water smelled terrible outside of the hotel. The hotel was pretty outdated.

I slept well here and most of our needs were met. It is not bad or good, just OKAY. I was worried the rooms would be dirty when I saw how nasty the hallways and stairways were, but it was actually pretty clean. They allowed pets and had a nice grassy area for pets to use. I'm not sure I'd stay here again, but can't really think of anything bad to say about it. Just generally mediocre, I guess. ...read more

Free breakfast, in room coffee /refrigerator in door pool hot tub work out room water front. I always stay here! Because of those exact reasons.
The outside lacks modern fasade and landscaping.

I love this hotel it's very comfortable I love the pool and free breakfast. I love the water front deck. It's nice and quiet.

The pillows were comfortable.
The hot tub and pool were dirty and the location.

Overall my fiancé and I just had a horrible time. We got there expecting this beautiful, romantic getaway and it was far from that. The water in the pool was dirty and gross and the sheets smelled.
