Hotel Guest Reviews of the El Cortez Hotel & Casino

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

We met a bartender named Scott, he works weekend mornings. He was so friendly. We were going to go get breakfast and go to the pool. Instead we just stayed at the bar drinking our breakfast.
Some sketchy characters in the hotel. My girlfriend did not like the Asian dealers.

Make sure you get a funbook. It gives you a free drink ticket, $5 off a meal, & $5 match play. That's like saving $15 just for checking in. You get two if there are two of you in the room. Food there is not so good, but its probably because there are just so many other options within walking distance. Make sure you stay in one of the towers. But if you do stay in the pavilion its ok because so many people book there to save money they are constantly upgrading people. ...read more

Staff was nice that's it!
The rooms looked nothing like the pictures you guys have posted. The rooms were outdated and smelled old and somewhat like cigaretts.

I loved the location of the El Cortez. It was just a block away from the Fremont St. Experience and the bus stop for the Deuce. The room was really big and the casino was not overly crowded.
The linens needed to be replaced, some were worn worse than others but definitely an easy fix.

I look forward to staying at the El Cortez in the future given that the price remains competitive.

The Cabana rooms are fabulous but small. The rest of the casino is just okay. Great downtown location.
One con, check in took waaaay too long.

Great location and clean rooms and friendly hotel staff
Met all expectations

Cant go wrong staying here. Price was fair and was close to casinos and plenty of casual walking. Park your car and just enjoy.

Staff was excellent, hotel in a perfect location for what we were looking for
The room we originally booked through Priceline was horrendous but the staff was able to upgrade us (at an additional cost of course) which made our stay much more pleasant

Nice hotel, small casino but has plenty of slot machines, cheap gaming tables and an excellent sports/race book

It's super close to the Fremont street action
The pictures are misleading, the room looked nothing like what's shown. It was very old, walls are very thin and you could hear everything happening in other rooms.

If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep for a night this will do, this is not a long term place to stay.

It was decent and affordable and close to all the downtown action.
It was average downtown Las Vegas.

Vintage Hotel with a good food, rooms were quiet at night and staff was friendly.
