Hotel Guest Reviews of the El Patio Inn Studio City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The rooms were surprisingly nice sized and they had not been too long past renovation.
The parking was terrifying! There was no internet when promised, there was a "no pet" policy and to get two beds we had to pay $18 more than the express deal price. The breakfast was merelytiny cinnamon buns and iced honey buns;nothing healthy or satisfyi

If you are literally there just to rest and put feet up, it was great and beds were comfy...even fridge and microwave. It was much more expensive than most with same amenities, if you need two beds and the absolute rubbish fact of no internet and not being pet friendly when it says they are was really aggravating. As it was late at night and we were tired, wehad to keep our dog in the car for the night...had it been a bit later in the season and hot...i am not sure what we would have done. ...read more

Great location. Great weekly deal.
I thought the parking spots were a little tight....but this was my first time in Los Angeles. Almost everywhere we went, parking was tight.

The rooms were very clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job for our long stay. This hotel was perfect for us. We don't need the hype/cost of a 5star hotel. We simply wanted a hotel to sleep and shower after sightseeing. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends coming to the area. Has a fridge and microwave, tv and phone. Simple.

I left and did not stay there after seeing several cockroaches. They were even in the fridge. How do you do business with a place that dirty.
The place was dirty and to walk in to a dirty toilet n not given a refund was bad. I left after 10 minutes in the room.

Awful experience. I should be given a refund as I refused to stay in a roach infested room. The staff was not helpful at all. How can u offer to clean my room when it was infested with roaches. I stopped counting at 12. There were probably bed bugs. It also appeared as though there were leaves of some sort on the bed. I was with my children and this was pretty disgusting. I trusted this sight to offer a descent location as we were spending the weekend at universal studios. Unsanitary unhealthy and gross. ...read more

Close to universal studios.
Bed was stained with nasty yellow spots, pillows were paper thin and they refused to give any extra. Staff was unfriendly and the room was gross.

Terrible, gross, unclean, and unfriendly.

Unsanitary, rust, paint peeling, no room key card, a key which could be copied.

I was shocked that this hotel was such a dump. Dirty, smelled. No place to sit laptop or plug it in. Refrigerator was not clean. Surprise this hotel has not been shutdown by the health department!

The location was good.
The English was bad and when I called to ask for 2 double beds then she said OK and then when I checked in was told that I can have a room, but extra.

Location for us was great and was told free coffee, but this is only in morning and with pastries (well that is questionable as you have to go into some little kitchenette to take a tiny muffin from a shop tray and pour your coffee and put in powder creamer etc.) - this could easily be set up to appear more appealing etc. With dishes piled up in sink is not appealing. All clean enough, but very economy type motel.

Convenient location to a meeting I was attending.
Web site said it was recently upgraded -- appeared to not have been upgraded in the last decade.

Reasonably priced and convenient location were the motels good points. Carpets seemed old and grungy, bed was so-so, bathroom clean, but no tub, no remote control for old TV with bad color, had to change rooms because no working reading light in the first room. Staff reasonably friendly but not very helpful.

Parking at hotel was horrible

First parking at hotel was horrible. Parking lot was to small to get in and out of. I was looking for an outlet to plug in a charger and found a box of empty cigarettes. Then when we did decide to go to sleep there was a dog crying next store for about an hour. I had to call the front desk and let the phone ring because no one was answering. To have someone quite the dog. Then we had a cricket in the room that kept us up the whole night. Finally to be woken up by weedwhackers in the am. I say this was the most horrible hotel experience I've had. ...read more

Quaint older hotel, and close to Burbank.
Shower pressure was horrible, room was very small.

There is nothing I liked about this hotel.
No remote for TV. No clock. No phone messaging. No pool. Bad lighting.

I bid on a two star hotel but the El Patio is barely a one star. There was no clock in the room. No remote for the television. Bad lighting with lots of bulbs out. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
